I saved last weeks channel 9 game, Hull Vs Hull KR. Watched it yesterday - Leeds Bradford! They make it hard, C9.
However, must say I really enjoyed the game anyway - 20 all.

A Brief History of Time – Middle east and North Africa
April 12th, 2010
By Daniel Andruczyk

Another article I wrote for Rugby League Review. Rugby League over the last 5 – 10 years has enjoyed a real growth spurt. Like a child entering adolescence and teenage years the sport has grown and along the way had its teething problems. One of the largest growth spurts has been in the Middle East. From humble beginnings, with no rugby league having had been played in anger before 2002, the regions now boasts seven nations playing the sport in some form.

The Magic of the Cup.

April 20th, 2010

This week all teams and a few others showed why knockout Rugby can be so good. Fiji Secondary schools had their semi finals, I managed to catch up with some of the Cronulla Sharks players and see their match against Brisbane. Also is the NRL in crisis?

Don’t Tell Us We Don’t Have a Team!
April 27th, 2010
By Daniel Andruczyk

No unfortunately this is not the promised blog on the Storm controversy, that is coming, I still need to get the summary of the weeks international results out, and am awaiting on some more info. But in light of that the Storm and their fans showed that the one thing you should never do to an Australian is tell them they cant do or have something! The Storm certainly showed that. In Serbia the big three clubs have shown the way again and its looking like it will be a tight contest once more.

The Storm in a Salary Cap.

April 2nd, 2010
By Various Authors

This issue of the blog sees a variety of people writing in their opinions on the whole Melbourne Storm and Salary Cap issue. As everyone by now knows last week the Melbourne Storm were found to have breached the salary cap for the last 5 years. Their punishment was that they had 3 minor premierships, 2 premierships stripped off them and $1.7 million in fines and returned winnings. Also they have lost all their points for the year and aren’t allowed to compete for points for the rest of the year. The question is: Does the punishment fit the crime or is it too harsh. and what of the salary cap? Does it need to be revisited and changed? There will be three views put forward from Dane Campbell, Chris West and Daniel Andruczyk. The purpose of this is to get a variety of ideas and views to the reader and to form a good concise discussion about the whole issue of the salary cap. Hopefully the you the reader will also learn a thing or two on the strains that apply to players and clubs on retaining talent as well.

Thank the Maker for the Ditch!

May 5th, 2010
By Daniel Andruczyk

Well those of us who are Antipodeans will know what the title refers to, and no its not some mass grave somewhere. I offcourse refer to the Tasman Sea and that it separates us and the Eastern Territory – New Zealand. I say this with love, I don’t say it with anything against our brothers, I only say it because its the only thing that keeps us from continually sending our sporting teams over to wage war! Yes ladies and gentleman and beings from other planets Its that time of year – ANZAC Test time, when the Kiwis come over here and try to bash the crap out of the Kangaroos. They may not always get the win on the board but damn it they beat us up on the field… oh and I pretty sure there is some other rugby league happening somewhere in the world?
