For the record its pretty sad we are comparing rugby league to a code that is essentially a training run! That's all from me about this. Don't think it deserves further comment.

Watched it over breakfast - it has now evolved into Gaelic Football

I wouldnt call it VFL or a hybrid anymore

To be fair Jim Wilson works for Ch 7, not rugby league.

I think he’s doing a stellar job. Far superior to Mr Sparkly Eyes, aka Mr My Teeth Are Too White, Mr James Bracey. James is a true league fan but he just doesn’t have the stature or presence to anchor the entire rugby league coverage.

Should comfortably reach 1 million again with regionals. Good ratings for all he kangaroos matches so far. It seems no matter the opposition or score line that around 1 million is about the basement for the kangaroos. Shows how much potential is there.

From this the Kangaroos do have significant/excellent audience attraction and so does International rugby league. It's an untapped growth market!

Kangaroos v Fiji ranked equal 5th with the Ashes cricket. Given that the rugby league only featured on 3 main capital cities this figure is excellent. The Ashes had the advantage of Adelaide and Perth statistics being included so in my books that's a significant win for international rugby league on tv again!

That semi was a cracker! The players have delivered once again. The tv ratings will be very good once again. Just hope the marketing people don't price gouge the final and we should see a sellout at Suncorp! Here's crossing my fingers and toes! However Im not holding my breath given their track record in this tournament.

Regionals must have been massive if figures like this are correct for the Kangaroos v Fiji match:

The final will have massive ratings! Looking forward to this game! Hopefully all capital cities will have prime channel coverage. The womens game will be watched by plenty prior to the mens on this night.
