I really like the idea of the double headers. I think Cairns was good and am hopefully the others in Perth and Townsville will be decent. What I don’t understand is why u would then give Townsville and Cairns an extra game. It’s terrible planning. The same with Canberra getting 3 separate games. I could understand if they had the Australia game seperate and then had a double header. But three seperate games is insanity. I understand they went where the money was but there must have been other options they could have taken to atleast make the scheduling have abit more sense

Both the Lebanon game today & the Fiji game yesterday should have been played in western Sydney suburban grounds...

I believe so. Canberra also would've been forced to hold this Lebanon / France game in return for the Australia game next week.

Cairns > Hicksville. Forget the new stadium. Build it in Cairns where the people aren't arrogant entitled merkins.

You can't make people like something because you like it. I get your latest vendetta is Townsville, but not being interested in something isn't arrogant or entitled.

It was the RLWC team's job to bring interest and sell tickets to these event and they have quite simply shot themselves in the foot with some horrid scheduling and placement.

There's no doubt the game should not have been in Townsville. But if the excuse for no merkin showing up is that it wasn't Australia v England they deserve utter contempt. It's a World Cup.

No shit. We knew this months ago. But if supposed RL people in Townsville either didn't know it was on or couldn't be f**ked they must be pretty backward whatever the case. They either live under a rock or have a shit attitude. So f**k them. The good news is that the new story is double headers mean double the crowd so they'll get five figures next week.

I think the timing of the game n Townsville wasn’t the best. Townsville would support Australia vs anyone. Lebanon games should be in Sydney. I’ll go to England vs Lebanon despite being neutral as we only have 2 games. This game looks set for a good crowd.

Parramatta would have been most logical option other than Belmore but we know Parramatta stadium is knocked down so maybe that impacted that decision.
