Looks like there is plenty of tickets still for sale for the Kiwis vs Tonga game.

No wonder the NZRL are trying to push the 'blackout the stadium' advertisements

Just because they are greyed out doesn't mean they are sold out.

I tried to buy one ticket on the embankment and it says more than 20 available, but when i got to buy 2 tickets its says there is not enough available to meet my request?

Same for the CAT C seats n the corners.

They have sold. As you may have noted throughout the thread in the past week, I've been keeping detailed tabs on this match and when and where tickets were available. Those Corner Bays have been on sale previously, with 10+ seats on sale. Many seats have been sold there, they could possibly be holding back some, but there would be not.

The Lower CAT A Bays on both sides have sold. They have been placed on sale previously, and are now unavailable. There are limited seats available again in those central CAT A Bays that remain on sale. The areas that arent going as flash are the Uppper Non TV Side Bays.

Remarkably, the Embankment now has limited availability, which the Samoa v Tonga game did not have.

So, this is not a match where I think we should be cynical. The RWLC have come out and said that people should avoid resellers and but only from the RLWC site. I think thats a good sign.

It'll be lucky to push 14,000.

The weather is crucial . It ruined the Lebanon v England attendance. Hope the weather is good and it will be a decent crowd.

You might be correct, they have reopened a couple of bays but they are very limited numbers. They have closed the embankment and the corners and converted some of the seats up the back of the main stand (camera side) from CAT A to CAT C. There looks to be maybe a quarter or less than that for CAT A seats left in that stand, and minimal CAT C left.

Still 2,000 tickets left for the PNG vs Wales game.

I wouldn't be so cynical about Australia v Lebanon. The England v Lebanon clash was on track for 15K until the horrible weather last Saturday.

There was a significant number of unused tickets for that match, which indicates an intension to go, however as many people have mentioned, Sydneysiders are fickle, and when competing against live and free TV coverage, it doesn't take much for people to decide not to go.

For Australia v Lebanon, I saw PAXs of over 12K last week. With rain unlikely and a temp of about 23, plus the fact I've actually seen some advertising for this game, surely it will be between 17K-20K...

Well I'll be.

They've changed it all again, you're correct. Sigh, I've tried to keep real close tabs of this game, but as they have done all World Cup, Bays are opened and closed at a whim. I think we can both agree that this is very much on track for 20,000+ or a sell out.

Still irks me that CAT A have been changed to CAT C a few days before the match. Did the same thing with the Opener and burnt all those people who shelled out for the 'better' tickets. Also, the price of CAT A has increased by $5, so they are now $55 rather than $50.

Got to make that $7m profit somehow!

Woah can you imagine 20k for aus v lebanon?

You'd almost think that with proper advertising and marketing you could get 20k for any internationals...

Would have got 40000plus for Kangaroos v England at the SFS. But thats a call already made for another time.

After the opener I gave up on this kind of guess work. 400 tickets on sale but 8000 empty seats.

You're wasting your time.

But adam, isn't this whole tournament a waste of time? We're through the looking glass here people.

OMG how will the AFLBC cope having to report that our waste of time joke world cup pulled 20K for Australia v Lebanon? Maybe they will just stick to regular form and fail to mention it at all unless there is crowd violence or poor player behaviour in the aftermath.

Yep not sure what the hell is going on. The way tickets have been going on and off sale is extremely confusing and has no doubt been detrimental to crowds.

The running of this tournament has been a total shambles. Thankfully despite that there are still positives to take away.
