The scheduling of matches was seriously botched from the start. Whatever we get for the tournament, it could have been far more with proper advice from people who know what they are doing. I am not convinced anyone at the RLWC organisation level knows the game, especially the international game, sufficiently.

Also feel like we were stitched up somewhat by Michael Brown, some of the scheduling and match choices are really questionable but then if state governments are paying millions of dollars to host matches that far outweighs potential income from ticket sales. Crazy that they seem to be charging a shit load of money for tickets though, the last WC in England tickets were dirt cheap and there were virtual sell-outs across the board.

You might be right, or maybe they are allocated elsewhere? Half of bay 90 is cat b for some reason whilst the rest isn’t available for sale.

They were released a few days ago as Cat C, have now sold out.

Priority 1 was getting money from state governments

Selling it to them by someone who knew their arse from their elbow might have been a start. Brown was hopeless.

Going off ticketek, if all spots are now released I count

Cat A: 421
Cat B: ~150 tops
Australia Supporters: 6
Alcohol Free: 102

So < 1000 all up. I think they have done pretty well, maybe a touch too expensive. If they black seat the gaps then it's a good result.

325 left for PNG Wales, that will sell out before the end of tonights match

Thanks for that. This is my new fav tool. I've checked out a few games & sales are pretty good from what I can see so I think this will be quite a successful RLWC!!

The ticket prices ranged massively at the last WC depending on the game and where you sat. Some of the pool matches involving the minnows were as low as £10 a ticket but the best seats at the opener, SF and Final were £99 each so more expensive than Melbourne this time.
