FOX SPORTS NEWS has shown a scant acknowledgment of the rugby league world cup results. For instance they continually show results at the bottom of the screen on union results of at least two weeks ago and mention union games over a month away. I'm aware that they may be covering this code however a very popular rugby league world cup is being played and Fox don't show the scores like they do for other codes. This is dissapointing. The public at large are voting en masse on the FTA tv viewership figures for rugby league yet Fox gives the game scant acknowledgement and visibility.

This battle of the islands is going to generate some great stories, especially after some of the aggro that's gone on. Crowd is awsome and that opening cultural challenge was one of the best things I have eve seen in sport! My highlight of the RLWC, so far!

Actual atmosphere at a rugby league game, the signing and flags, man it makes it so much better to watch on tv, when will league understand that.

This is why i love rep footy...

Club are basically interchangable (the one thing that makes them special is their badge/jumper and they change that every few years) and the culture is almost entirely manufactured.

Origin, Indigenous ASs and the National teams genuinely represent a group and players dont jump ship for a bigger pay deal.

Club footy aint going anywhere, but the rep game is where RLs growth is....

Just watching the ABC morning news program...

The two hosts ( no doubt Victorians) were questioning the sports guy...

First question - why not just have a tri series Aust, NZ and England...

Second question - did Tonga v Samoa save the World Cup?

AFLBC - just keeping the spin negative even if the arguments are contradictory...

Surely they spoke about Samoa v Tonga?
Ha! In their top five or whatever it is they had soccer, tennis, basketball. No RLWC. In their RL segment they talked about Jarryd Hayne going to Parramatta (or not). Didn't even mention he fact he's playing for Fiji today (or at all). They had Mal commenting on it but no mention of the France game or anything else on the Roos. They had that bloke who wants to play women's VFL because he's on sixty monutes, cross-promoted the Ashes for a fair while and has the horse racing. They even chose to show old footage of Kyrgios in some sort of looking back at 2017 segment rather than talk about something that's actually on this weekend.

The Offsiders commenting on international rugby league - value = slightly less than the turd I just dropped.
