Yes I would like to see him only come off the bench for 8 to 10 weeks. I would prefer if we had a stable halves combination to see him eased into first grade. Whatever though. Seems you just wanna argue with me whatever I say. I'm gonna go all coastbloke and say whatever I want.

It's a forum Yoshi - it's called debating mate!

So you want a stable halves pairing without Henry starting - no matter how good he proves himself to be - and then after 10 rounds you want to break that stability up?

We'd be better off with Mullen/Henry starting and Rogers on the bench as a backup initially. Gidley could slot to halfback if need be that way...

Yeah your right it's ponitless to have him on the brnch at all! Just throw him into first grade I'm sure he'll go alright and even if he doesn't there aren't any real other options are there?

Yosh, we bought him here for a reason. I'm pretty sure that reason wasn't so he could warm the bench.

We must put faith in Henry and let him make the #7 Jersey his own. By playing him off the bench will mess up the combination's of our spine.

If he performs well in the off-season, it's a no-brainer really. Chuck him in Round 1 and let blokes like Gidley and Mullen guide him in the right direction.

By playing him off the bench will make him feel the club haven't put enough faith in him and he may not put the effort in compared to if we started him, he'd no the club are behind him and would play to the best of his ability.

How much of an opportunity is he going to get to impress in the off-season coming back from a shoulder reconstruction at the end of this season? If he was an established first grader coming off a serious injury he could possibly walk into the team, but he is an unproven rookie. Why the rush to throw him into the #7 jersey first week into a three-year contract?

If he's injured, he's injured.

If not, why leave him out? Why not give him the maximum possible exposure to first grade.

It's not like he hasn't been ready for a while.

I don't know about you but I want Henry to be an established, professional and consistent first grade halfback by 2012. The more experience he gets from the get go the faster this will happen. Sure he is going to make mistakes for a while when he starts out so next year is the perfect time for him to learn from these inevitable stuff ups and become a better player for 2012 & onwards. After next season is when Newcastle should really be a threat, I want a player who has a full year of first grade experience to lead the way with Mullen instead of someone whos spent most of their time on the bench or in the lower grades...The Mullen/Henry combination is such an important part of our future, it needs to be developed as soon as possible.
