I can't remember leadership in the joint for years. When the big 4 came over in the super league days we threw a 19 year old Cayless the top job and he was and we are still sh!thouse.
Shithouse then an stilton shithouse now.

At the risk of doing Pou's job, the forwards went ok the last couple of years. And now we're stuck having to play by the rules, which means no TPAs. As for why French doesn't get down, I don't know. He's slighter than most so he should've learnt to do it by now. When Alvaro and Vave were off,we disintegrated up front, couple that wi King who proved the report that he is statistically the oust 9 in the comp, and you see the result,
It's acknowledged we have a small pack, so who's responsible for that not being addressed in the past 5 years. I don't want to actually say it, but we do look poorly coached. What's the saying big forwards win matches, backs by how much - we are being left behind by clubs that really don't have our resources
Our backs are constantly playing behind fwds that are driven back in tackles and have little room, and we allow opposition packs to overpower us with poor wrestle technique and get caught with their quick play the balls.
Just quietly, why doesn't French throw himself to the feet of the tacklers coming out of his half, doesn't he see Slater and others do it every game
It's sad when you are hoping Kaysa comes back.f**k I hope kaysa is fit next week
So kind of like a fullback then...
Problem is Gutho provides nothing at fullback. I actually think the responsibility of him being captain and the huge job at fullback is too much for him...hence all the errors. He doesn't even offer a threat running the ball.
I don’t think any fullback does 10km at 80% effort. At fullback he can use his explosive effort and then rest each set out the back. I think people overestimate the work rate required at fullback. It’s a stop start position and sure they move a lot in the back play but it’s at low intensity. The halves in Origin this year were covering far more distance than the fullbacks.Hayne can’t do 10km a match at 80% effort. He showed tonight that he can reset like Benji and play slower but smarter. Centre is his position.

No offence to Gutho, but essentially he's the greatest leader in the team. If that's going to also be the case for 2019 then we're straight back to 2010-2014.
Coaching. It is hard to explain how so many players can be out of form at the same time. Moses, Jennings,Brown,Taka and Gutho are all sadly out of form.

Do any fans ever like any of our players????
A couple of bad games and they’re on the shit heap........
Our club may be shit but our fans are much, much worse imo.

Mate it was done in round 2, and the coach looked done in round 4. There is no excuses for a team to play this bad just none. The club honestly has no heart or soul. Who would keep a coach after such a dismal season. A season that was over by round 6. Lmao
Yeah he just hasn't adjusted to the (weight) difference in first grade. But he's been there for a couple of years. It's embarrassing how rag dolled he gets. I reckon it is probably due to bad habits. Growing up and even in the 20s he wouldn't have needed to get down low because his lightning footwork would have let him not get dominated more often than not. Not so easy in 1st grade
1999 Magpies would of been a quality match. If you wanted to catch aids.Since the start of NRL, has there been a worse team then the 2018 eels??
There’s a lot of love for our best player Hayne tonight, no one is bagging Alvaro, Gower and Mannah, Norman has been pretty good lately and has rightly been commended.Do any fans ever like any of our players????
