There is a long way to go, its only round 3, however last night the boys showed they are a new footy team this year with a new attitude and confidence. They looked like they expected to win and play tough for the full 80 minutes and that is something we have not seen from them in many years. If we continue to play like that, and with the quality depth we have in case of injury, we should be a top 8 team and after the years we've had, I will be happy with that and anything that flows for us in the finals.

Paulo was the only forward to make less tackles than runs tonight. That said, he is easily our best attacking forward. Plus when he gets the chance to put a shot on that's nice too.

This is typical bullshit.

He made 15 runs for 143 m and 20 tackles you lying merkin.

He made 5 tackles less than Scott but 3 times as many runs and about 4.5 times as many metres.

He made 50% more metres and runs than Mannah and more tackles.

Only 4 other players made more tackles and only one of them was a prop. He smashed everyone for metres made.

You are a dishonest merkin.

So one prop on the bench??? I think BA has got the perfect mix atm. Livewire like Kaysa with 2 props on the bench with someone like Edwards or Gower who can really play some footy but don't mind doing the tough stuff. I really fail to see what more Watmough can add to the side. Scott really has made Watmough role redundant atm, though we may need him around origin time and if injuries take hold. As i said it's a good position to be in.

Moeroa would play prop ( he is already playing in the middle), it was probably the role he was training for until Watmough was ruled out. Watmough basically brings what Scott does but to the middle (and would help our line speed get even better). And in his last few games last year he was making close to 100m a game.

But yeah agree it's a good position to be in.

Watmough would come in for one of the bench props probably Peni. Moeroa would go to the bench with Watnough starting.

I know everyone is questioning whether Watmough would make the side, but last year after he stopped trying to be a 5/8 he was pretty good. His defence in the middle was great, but he was playing injured. Let's not forget he was playing in a side without Jennings / Gordon / Foran etc etc Kelly in the halves. Not many looked to good last year at times but a lot were in last nights side.

If everyone is getting excited about Scott, just wait and see what he and Watnough will do together. I really hope Watmough over comes his injury and gets onto to the field to silence a few critics (and win us a comp)

Watmough / Scott together will really give us a top pack and the aggression that wins comp.

dint forget about the chairman. You wouldn't want to ruin into these 3 hombres

If all fit

11 mau
12 scott
13 watmog

14 Kaysa
15 Gower
16 edwards
17 moeroea

Probably more mobile pack

Yes no real props but I think Gower, Watmough and teps can share that role.

As per last night. Jnr played linger in his first stint than Mannah did

Do we really need Kaysa? I think not but its good to give him nrl experience if we do not keep peats and idg

I must say that peni and wicks did play quite well

What about Semi returning kick-offs? He could run towards the wings so not to get smashed then offload to jennings

Mannah made one huge play. Head butted kasiano

Kasiano was the only one likely for the dogs

I actually thought we contained kasiano well except that one offload

Trex seemed their one most likely ... but he went MIA as the game went on. was he injured?

This halves pairing we now have is almost sterling Kenny like

Foz made some really great kicks and he threw a nice cutout

It's about mental strength and intestinal fortitude as much as ability tonight. If we are tougher than them then we should win. These are the games where, playing or not, the influence of watmough and Foran make a difference.

Go you good things.

That's what I'm talking about.

That was amazing, so proud of our boys.

Seeing the no 7 feed a scrum and pass to the no 6 who runs the ball.................................thought I was watching Sterlo and Kenny there for a while

And then there was Semi............Jarryd who ??
