Robbie Farah gone?

All I know is that we've changed administration and coaches and things are still the f**king same. I'm sick of coming onto this forum lamenting the games and seasons that got away while there are clubs that are routinely successful.

When does the buck stop with the players? They get paid the most and they have the least accountability.

The reason we keep lurching from disaster to disaster is summed up in your last sentence (posed as a question) "When does the buck stop with the players? They get paid the most and they have the least accountability"
***And the answer is exactly that...i.e. When someone holds them accountable. And who might that be? Well at the moment it is no-one and that is the problem....WE HAVE NO STRONG OFF FIELD LEADER! Still no CEO and a MIA acting CEO in Phil Moss. This all comes back to leadership and management or more precisely a lack thereof!

Exactly....both you and the Charlatan have it right.

It looks like our management are having a crack at trying to rectify this, establish a proper hierarchy in the place. For mine it's a gutsy and risky decision, almost like they are trying to re-establish the club post Sheens/Potter/Humphreys/Mayer/Marshall and now Farah.

The salary cap is a cover, it's obvious that Farah gets noses out of joint and they don't feel they are getting value for money.

I tell you what, Taylor isn't a great listener. You think he would have learnt more off Trent Robinson when at the Roosters. I wonder how much money is in our war chest...can we try and sign Robinson. If Harry and Nick want to get into a peeing competition lets see who is the biggest.

FTR, I just want to see the club get away from the bottom of the f**king ladder. Four years we've finished outside the top 8. We've pissed off coaches, admin, CEO's, media managers. The only two constants left over from this f**king sorry period are Ronald and Farah.

I understand the fans are upset, but the whole affair should still be behind closed doors until it was all sorted before a unified statement was made to the media. Farah's team has leaked it to the media in order to maximise the impact of it and it's worked beyond his expectations. He'd make a spectacular politician.

Robinson would be spectacular. As much as I hate the merkins, Easts are the perfect unit.

FTR, I don't like JT either, I just think we've shafted enough coaches and CEO's to know that it's still not generating results. A different tact is required. However, the board have nailed their nuts to the wall by backing Taylor and they cannot sack him now.

If we could get rid of both Farah and JT that would be ideal.

The Todd Payten coached NQ U/20's seem to be travelling well!

I reckon Ayoub is the leaker.

Farah handles conroversy poorly so theres no way i can accept this is entirely his doing.

Ayoub needs to paint Farah as a likeable bloke who has been shafted so that he can get his star client another gig (and a juicy commission for himself).

while i agree with some of what he says, he has no right to say any of it.

No man came as close to bringing Balmain, Wests or Wests Tigers to its knees quicker than that merkin did in the space of 2 years.

Taylor is 10 times the coach Jones could ever hope to be.

And Taylor is rubbish.

Seriously wtf is he thinking?!

When it's all said and done, love him or hate him, is there really anyone that would next year rather watch another season of Taylor trying to make the Tigers play a structured style of football that clearly doesn't suit our players and without Farah it would you rather watch the team play the style of football that Farah can influence, similar to that played last weekend ??? I get that it was against a heavily depleted Warriors but for majority of this season not only have we lost but we have lost playing a boring style of football that has left many simply losing interest.
I'm far from being Farah's biggest fan but it's hard to imagine that our team would be better off without him. If he was offside with the playing group you could nearly make a case for it being better to move him on but after what we witnessed last weekend that is clearly not the case.

If we lose another coach and that prick is still running the club via proxy next year I am out as a member. Sick of pissing money up against a wall in support of a train wreck

I could potentially back your stance if the people within the club pushing to out Farah had any credibility.

I am ambivalent about this but I can only assume it is the salary cap and the damn irresponsible contract sums being offered players by previous management pushing WT over the cliff into probable NRL sanction for breaches. Just a supposition on my part but I can only assume the reason Farah tapped on shoulder and not Lawrence (to the best of my knowledge) is that even if Lawrence had gone WT may well still been over the cap, meaning yet another player would have had to go. So, easier to push the higher paid player to make sure no others go. I agree its not a fair way to do things to Farah but............

Essentially, maybe WT we faced with either losing 1 x established player or 2 (1 x established and 1 x lesser). Either way they were in for a PR hiding over this mess. Not helped by former board members saying they'd do the same thing all over gain.

Also whilst many here pour scorn on the current WT management, to the best of my knowledge it was not them, that agreed to the contract amounts for Farah, Lawrence, Blair etc and also lets not g=forget the hysterical rush to upgrade the contracts to ridiculous amounts for the rookies Moses, Brooks and Tedesco- all no doubt adding fuel to the unsustainable salary levels vs the cap.

Fair post that.

How were the contracts even given the green light by the nrl knowing that they would put the club well over the cap.

I can only suspect things were hidden / fudged. Even an honest excel spreadsheet gives a true amount at the bottom for year by year total if the figures are correct. Something has been terribly amiss.

I recall the rumours earlier this year 'another nrl club was in serious salary cap trouble'- well, we now know who dont we? I'm sick of this fudging of things.

If someone is fiddling the books and deceptively arranging financial contracts damn well charge them wiht deception and put them before courts as a test case with both the NRL and the current WT board as plaintiffs and those responsible as defendants. That will stop them thinking its a game.

Did no one see Benji on NRL360?

Said Robbie took a 200k pay cut as the club had no money and it was agreed to be back paid, but this did not happen. Same for him, but I think he said his was 80k

If true, not sure Benji would just make it up, Robbie has a fair gripe.

Would hate to see him in another jersey.

Catalans would be all right...reckon they have bought well already...go win the Super League Robbie.

I fear origin will see him in the red v, not cool.

I did see the Jones rant, seems senile these days.
