Yet again, you're wrong about Creagh. He was the Dragons player of the year in 2009 and 2010, and for good reason. He has been a gun for the Dragons over a long period of time (not this year, unfortunately), and definitely deserved his original selection. What he hasn't deserved is to be continually selected after a number of quiet games at Origin level. Trying to use him as an impact player was never going to work. He's an 80 minute player for the Dragons.
Creagh did deserve selection. But isn't an Origin player because he lacks aggression. If a player plays 6 games in Origin and fails then you can say he is not up to a level above club level.
Saying it about Robbie Farah who had one poor game 3 years ago in only his second game is clearly wrong and ignoring him for years whilst spouting he isn't and Origin player is just plain nonsense.
Farah had one decent game and one bad game at the level. The guy taking his place Michael Ennis wasn't better than Robbie Farah. They picked him because he sledges people and can be a pain in the ass for the opposition not for his play just his mouth.
Creagh was considered more suitable as an Origin front rower than guys who would be miles better than him in that position. Because they aren't considered Origin players whatever that means i am sure they could make 5 hit ups and 20 tackles same as Creagh does in half the time.
Now i am not saying Creagh didn't deserve a chance he very much did deserve a chance he had it and failed. He has been given more chances than any other Origin player ever it could be argued.
Origin player is more for players who haven't had a chance because they say they aren't an Origin player, yet they pick guys like Ben Creagh who are inferior players and don't really perform in Origin either.
It's more accusing players of not being Origin players when they haven't had the chance or barely had a chance one or two games. Farah should of been persisted with at least since his debut.
But he has to continually prove himself whilst some others have had a free ride over the years.
