Yet again, you're wrong about Creagh. He was the Dragons player of the year in 2009 and 2010, and for good reason. He has been a gun for the Dragons over a long period of time (not this year, unfortunately), and definitely deserved his original selection. What he hasn't deserved is to be continually selected after a number of quiet games at Origin level. Trying to use him as an impact player was never going to work. He's an 80 minute player for the Dragons.

Creagh did deserve selection. But isn't an Origin player because he lacks aggression. If a player plays 6 games in Origin and fails then you can say he is not up to a level above club level.

Saying it about Robbie Farah who had one poor game 3 years ago in only his second game is clearly wrong and ignoring him for years whilst spouting he isn't and Origin player is just plain nonsense.

Farah had one decent game and one bad game at the level. The guy taking his place Michael Ennis wasn't better than Robbie Farah. They picked him because he sledges people and can be a pain in the ass for the opposition not for his play just his mouth.

Creagh was considered more suitable as an Origin front rower than guys who would be miles better than him in that position. Because they aren't considered Origin players whatever that means i am sure they could make 5 hit ups and 20 tackles same as Creagh does in half the time.

Now i am not saying Creagh didn't deserve a chance he very much did deserve a chance he had it and failed. He has been given more chances than any other Origin player ever it could be argued.

Origin player is more for players who haven't had a chance because they say they aren't an Origin player, yet they pick guys like Ben Creagh who are inferior players and don't really perform in Origin either.

It's more accusing players of not being Origin players when they haven't had the chance or barely had a chance one or two games. Farah should of been persisted with at least since his debut.

But he has to continually prove himself whilst some others have had a free ride over the years.

Had another great game tonight, was it 64 tackles? He really is making up for lost time as tonight should have been his 11th origin game (at least).

Entire 2009 season, you've been enlightened.....

And you've been huffing kittens...

Seriously? Ennis has been a media propelled myth who has never surpassed Farah in any stat you care to name barring penalties conceded or errors made.
Smith is better than Farah, no question, but Farah is the best #9 in NSW. Fact.

Obvious Wests Tigers supporter bias.

Ennis>> Farah in 2009.

Currently Farah >>> Ennis(by a country mile).

f**k you Dogs supporters are useless. Even after Farah is shown cleraly to be twice the player Ennis is, you still have to duck and weave by claiming Ennis had a better seaosn in 2009. Who gives a shit? Farah was, and is, the better player. Since 2005.

Putting Ennis in the same sentence is just not worthy.

Farah is knocking on Smith's door. 2-0 this series.

So proud of the way he is playing. He is making up for lost time alright.

Lock him in for the next 3-4 years and a couple of series wins.

Tough as nails.

Ennis has cost NSW games/series. Farah might just help deliver one. Should have been there years ago.

Origin player is the dumbest and worst myth NSW have ever come up with. I remember New South Wales not picking Ryan Girdler for like 4 years on the basis he wasn't an origin player but apparently the likes of Terry Hill and Ken McGuinness were despite Girdler constantly running rings around them every time they played each other.

NSW have picked their best squad for years this series and in the first 2 games maybe should of won the series by now.

Farah was always a better player than Michael Ennis he should of been persisted with from about 2006-07 onwards.

It isn't rocket science you pick the best players in their positions and they tend to do the best and you find the right balance i.e picking 3-4 front rowers.

How many truly great players have NSW had that weren't origin players ?

Usually the guys who fail are the likes of Brett White,Jason King,Ben Creagh. Guys who are lucky to be selected.

Well that's a lie. But anyway.

On the topic at hand, I always wanted Farah in the side over Ennis. I even used to ask my Tigers mate at work why they didn't pick Farah over Ennis for NSW, and he never really cared. He always rated Ennis. Weird. Anyway, loving the work he's doing this series.

Farah plays a similar style to Smith. He's a second half option.

The only real differences are that Farah is faster, will run from dummy half more often (usually into lazy markers) and has a bit more flair in his game, while Smith is more composed, consistent/reliable and more dominant when making tackles.

This series is showing though that there's very little between the two and why Farah has played test footy and Ennis never will.

A massive LMAO to this thread. Its almost two years to the day since we had a flood of "NEVER PICK FARAH AGAIN" threads - It was almost like the old "Kimmorley - stamped" threads.

Now no one is admitting to EVER backing Ennis over Farah -:lol:

Ennis did his bit. While we were waiting for Farah to mature, we sent Ennis in to bait the morons. Now it's Farah's time - and he's a f*cking beauty!

Anyway, lets forget Ennis. The topic should be Farah >>>>>>Smith - and it's not close.

Farah made the most tackles in Origin history tonight. Next best was Dallas Johnson with 60. That'll tell you just how good he is.

And not one single missed tackle.

Those "never pick again" threads were a joke. Like most sane people were saying, he had one OK game and one terrible one and was dumped without a trace. Ridiculous.

Pfft, we weren't waiting for him to mature, he just wasn't one of Stick's bum chums.

Wrapped to see him get his chance and take it for all it's worth, you can see how hungry he is. Was great to see the pride in him after that game last night.

He should've been given another chance and persisted with a number of years ago, he has always been the most creative hooker we have. As a bonus he is not a massive deadshit like Ennis.

He and Bird have really stepped up as leaders this series to help Gall.

Missing out on Origin made Farah the player he is now, it added that extra bit of grit and starch to his game.

Praise to Ennis though, he was integral is Ricky's drive for belief and passion in the jumper, I do not rate him as a player but his attitude helped start this ball rolling again

Nice bait Loudy. I've maintained since Farah was dropped that he never should have been. Campese and Wallace should have been given more time too, but Farah was the one the selectors really got wrong.

Farah played great, I've just got done watching the replay, the bloke is an Origin player if there ever was one.

I loved the scrum at the end when Taylor pushed someone and Watmough and Bird both got up from the scrum throwing c word about a few times, something about "f**k these merkins" or "who the f**k are these merkins" then when they went to set the scrum before the final whistle Farah looks at Smith when he's packing down and you can hear clear say to him "You f**king androtrop" with about 2 seconds on the clock

Shame we couldn't hear whatever else he said after that. We should mic the players so we can hear the good stuff clearer at scrum time

Smith lost
