tbh, he's always been oustanding in that area, easily the best defensive half that we've had for a very long time.

Probably the best since John Morris.

He had a great game yesterday, while his kicking game does still need improvement I thought it was a hell of a lot better, and again, congrats on the first career try. Well done Robo.

yeah i didn't think of Morris, John Simon was also a great defensive half.

Well done Robbo... thats all we ask from you mate!!!

Mortimer hasn't shown any glimpses of any defensive problems so far.

I think we could find Robo back to 14 and Kingston back to wenty but we will wait and see.

No way Kinga sparks the boys everytime he comes on

Based on his 3 performances in the top grade so far to send Kingston back to Wenty would be a major mistake. His enthusiasm and work ethic have played a major part in Parra's form reversal and for mine I've seen enough to suggest he should have the 9 on his back.

Yeah John Simon had some vigour in the tackles he made.

To be honest I think we should offer Kingston an extension for next year, but I suppose we're all still waiting on what happens with Poore until we hear any information about that.

But in my mind M.Keating, Kingston and Mitchell should all be in the top 25 next season and at this rate I wouldn't mind having Robson as back up to Mortimer and K.Keating next year either.

It will be interesting to see how Robson performs against a really top-notch half. While he`s not in the same class as Benji Marshall, Robson`s brilliant defence might just shut Marshall out of the game. You never know.

I wouldn't be calling Benji Marshall a top notch half tbh.
He hasn't set the world on fire consistently yet (but has had som magnificent games, and created some freakish passes) and tbh when Farah has been out Marshall has truely looked completely lost.

:lol:Beating your chest after a couple of good games. He is a solid half at best and a "fill in" until someone better is fit.

Oh, yeah! Beating my chest. My poor old chest is going to be battered and bruised by the end of the season, that`s for sure!:lol:
Actually, I`m not saying he`s anything more than solid. My point is he`s a WHOLE LOT BETTER than some people were making out. The guy was being absolutely crucified by certain people, and I`m glad he`s proven them wrong, even if only fleetingly.

Robson was great vrs the Knights and pretty good the vrs Cronulla. They definately need to improve his kicking game but he tackled like a demon and was solid in attack.
Im sure with DA at the helm, even better things are in store.

Kevin Kingston has been amazing. Where was this guy hiding earlier in the year.

Go DA... your the man.

i'd be very surprised if either player makes even notches up two tackles on the other. it's not like they are assigned their opposite number to defend against.

And last thing: to all those armchair experts who kept saying that Robson was just a reserve-grader; didn`t have what it takes to play first-grade; shouldn`t ever be allowed to play firsts again; and that "there are reasons that he has only played a handful of first grade games in his career" - where are you now? Those "reasons" seem to be well documented. Any comments?

He played well above the level he normally plays at yesterday but that game doesn't change my view at all. Hayne and Mortimer were obviously asked to do alot of the playmaking to take some of the pressure off Robson.

comments??? Yeah piss him off give Kelly a run we have nothing to lose.

Yep.

We are the worse attacking Parramatta side I can remember.

Even when a platform is laid, we struggle to threaten.

Robson does the job but he just doesnt cut it consistently enough.

Put Kelly in there and let the kids run it.

What's to lose? the two tries we struggle to score each home game?
