Ken Sio should be $1.04 to win rookie of the year, playing in a disgrace of a team and yet still shining through and showing his talent

It Hurrell wins, his speech will need subtitles

Meh, his English is pretty good for a guy who's probably only been speaking it as his main language for 3-4 years. He's a pretty smart guy by all accounts and he seems pretty confident, his interviewing skills will improve pretty quickly even if he does drop the odd bit of Tonglish in there from time to time.

I feel sorry for all the outside backs after Edrick Lee plays his first game. The feral Raider fans will get pretty abusive.

Well he was a national olympic lifting champion in 2010, and that takes some pretty serious attention to detail and technique training.

Also explains his RIDICULOUS legs and explosive power.

justin hunt, son of neil, looks like a talent. set the q cup comp alight last season playing for redcliffe

dimitri pelo would be mid 20's after cronulla lower grades then a couple seasons of english super league

lachlan maranta trained all week with the broncs but dropped out when gillett was fine after limited minutes in the origin game. only a matter of time for he and mitchell frei to debut this year. both still able to play 20's but play q cup.

Thanks for the list Big Pete.

Gee some of these blokes have had some good games. The future of league looks bright looking at that list.

Reynolds and Hurrell are standouts to me, but Sezer has been great all year too. Sironen and Moga look the goods.

Tedesco, Everingham, King, De Belin, Austin, Blair, Sio, Naiqama, Foran, Frizzell and Wighton all impressed me so far with what I've seen of them. All look like first graders to me.

Maranta was good last night, also. Slaimankhel had a poor start vs us but got better and looks fine.

Can't say I remember much of most the others (I think I saw McKinnon earlier in the year go well, in a bad team, plus I thought he was good last year at centre for the Dragons), but that is a lot of talent so far in one year.

Is it just me (or maybe is it just the Broncos making it look like this) but do more rookies seem more composed and more athletic than in the past? (not necessarily better footballers, but closer to their regular NRL peak when first starting than maybe a few years ago?).

Provided he plays the whole year is always going to be Reynolds, anyone who understands the game knows that.
No offence, But Bunniesman would also think this, so the two arent mutually exclusive.

Hurrell is superb. His contention depends on Warriors making the finals IMO. Reynolds is at an advantage being a play maker too
