Bias aside, Reynolds. Has an advantage as a playmaker but has an all-round game. Also an outstanding goal-kicker. Hurrell is a beast on attack but has significant defensive short-comings still.

That did not stop Idris winning it.
Reynolds will probably run away with it and Sezer will be the only one that will challenge him at this stage IMO. I'm not sure about Hurrell, he'll be nominated but I think the others have shown more consistency.
Hurrell for me. he would have more trys by now if he wasnt next to mannering.

Seems to be a bit of a myth the whole "Inconsistant Hurrell, bad defence etc". It might just the perception of the Warriors in Aus (although as a team we are inconsistant), but as stated above Hurrell has been a beast for about 8 weeks straight since he came back into the team. His defence started out shakey, but he has been solid for weeks and is improving.
Did Idris have a player of Reynolds' calibre to contend with? Not that I remember.
