Roosters Trial

The tigers took last night as a trial while you bozos went out to play a February grand final lol. The tigers with half Politis's budget will finish ahead of your cheque book juniors. Your Day is coming at a fast rate of knots, March 7 will tell a lot about your club, Souths are licking their lips to burst your bubble.

And that's why Benji played the full 80 while Mini, Maloney and Pearce sat on the bench

So did the pack give him go forward or not?

I think the props went pretty good. Put it this way - Miller had enough to work with.

Would you have cut Lui after one NRL game because he was an ordinary player for a long time.

No and I can sort of accept him there for a while. The issue is that he has never looked good. Lui looked likely to me on lots of occasions and when I saw him play in the lower grades he looked a gun. I have seen Miller take the right option in passing it to Koro but apart from that he hasn't really impressed.

I hope I'm wrong and he kills it but I have serious doubts. Sirro Jnr has looked good as well.

I thought that Miller went Ok in the Toyota Cup final series last year.

I don't know if he is going to make it or not, but he deserves more opportunity than 1 NRL game and a couple of trials.

I don't believe other options you have mentioned involving tried and failed Moltzen, and Anasta who hasn't played in the halves for years are going to cut it.

Maybe you should stick to offering insightful comments like our backrow is too small, and our outside backs are too slow - issues that no fan here has previously realised.

Its not exactly a glowing recommendation is it.

Benji at 7 and Sirro at 6 went well.

I'm not sure of the best option - I just don't have confidence that we have it right.

Maybe you should stick to offering insightful comments like our backrow is too small, and our outside backs are too slow - issues that no fan here has previously realised.

And yet these issues don't appear to be getting addressed do they. Can the outside backs and the backrow be improved with the players that we have. I think they can. The problem is that tough decisions have to be made. Maybe Anasta doesn't get a run on and possibly a bench spot. Maybe Blair has to play at prop. Maybe Utai gets dropped to the bench or from the team even though he has been great for us.

I'm not concerned at all at the tigers performance last night. There was only one side that treated that game as a trial last night. Roosters were 1- 17 for 77 minutes of the game and without our best wet weather forward. Farah, Anasta and Lawrence all with limited minutes. I think we looked more dangerous with Tedesco on the park though

Seems to be an awful lot of positional re-structuring going on after our TRIAL game ?
Dissecting the team after one performance is a bit rash, no ?

Like it or not, we have been the chookies bitches for a long time.
They have the best additions to their team for this season, by far.
If they can keep their crap together, they should feature strongly.

We seemed to struggle when we lost our centres. We knew we had a small pack . . . and we were up against some monsters last night. Why the XXXX can't our forwards run like that ?

Did you really think we were going to beat our hoodoo team ( that has just added a shitload of quality players ) with a new team structure ?

Give it time. FMD, you want to change the line-up after a single game. Give them a fair go to make the adjustments. It may even take a dozen rounds to sort itself out.
Short term pain . . . and all that ?

Chill guys. Let it be. It'll sort itself out.

Damn I miss Ellis this year. Don't think Blair is within a bulls roar of his contribution to the team week in, week out. O'donnellmay have done something but I'm not loosing any sleep with his home at roosters. We really need Blair to either fire this year or get out.

That's not entirely fair, he is entitled to an opinion on the team and raises some good points and some points I don't agree with. We have to stick with miller considering he has been there all off season but im also of the opinion that he has been poor in pretty much every first grade game he has played. He is young though and can improve, but there is a fair difference in his first few games to that of sironen, lui or even moltzen.

The halves pairing is the most thrashed topic, last season we talked it to death.
We are at round 0 into a new season with a new coach and the topic raises its head again because one forum member doesnt like to be wrong about last season.

At least give a break til round 10, jesus.

Firstly he hasnt trained all off season but started contact training mid Jan.. And secondly what dif was there to Lui and Siro in their first few games ? 05 tard may very well be right but there was f**k all that Miller did or didnt do that lost us the game so i dont know why the flack is heading his way. Maybe ppl should watch the game again and im sure they will find far more issues than a rookie
finding his way. What the f**k did the million dollar Benji do for instance.

I think both teams played well, opportunities were limited by good defence and composure was great from both teams. Both teams had 3 to 4 of their 17 out of the game, Both teams in the FC would have beaten the teams in the CS. Good signs for Tigers and Roosters...

When did u rest your players ??? watch the game again tool and u will find it was when the game result was over.. Why does it seem that all Rooters supporters are trolls? They seem to attract a sad bunch.

thats an interesting point. I notice the championship sides have very quiet forums eg roosters, bulldogs, storm... yet the shit teams eg souths, cronulla, tigers, st george, tend to have a flurry of activity.... why is that? muhahahhaha....

check my sig out. ;-)
