Humbles problem was his calf, Haynes main problem was he was too big for his news. And Kelly's biggest problem is he's just shit. All our big new signings in the halves seem to develop hammy problems, Humble, Foran.......

I was told there was an old friend training with the boys today.

Not sure if this is the right place to put this but Sportsbet are offering $4 for Parra to win and score a try.
Max bet only $30.
My point is that obviously the betting agencies are starting to write us off.
Move/delete this if this is not the right place for this.
the problem is kelly passes the ball 15m behind his support players so no matter how early he gets the ball to taka, taka will have to run back to get it.Ok, so we are all a bit down about Kelly playing
BUT
to be fair to him, I think he might go 'ok' tomorrow night.
He has a seasoned campaigner outside him in Beau Scott, who has a great mind for the game.
He has a dynamic playmaker in the centres outside him in Takairangi.
He is clearly NOT in line to win a first grade spot, no matter how well he plays.
For me, Kelly is notorious as a poor playmaker, a bad decision maker, and someone who tries to hard to prove that he is a first grader. None of those things should be a major issue. Just pass it to Taka early and back him up, and listen to Scott.
The major concern is his kicking game - it is either halfway decent, or sub abominable. My gut feeling is that it is sub abominable when he is trying to prove he is a first grader. Hopefully he just kicks a bit as a backup this game.
(I am working on the assumption Norman is our main kicker in general play now, ahead of Foran)
Hope springs eternal...
