Ill be out there in the grandstand cheering em on.
Is it just me thinking kerr will go back into prop lawrie to lock and tyrell back into second row?
Not sure tyrell is anything close to a lock and not sure this weather will suit our forwards.
Hope hook has this covered
Go the mighties

Listening to the coaches preview, Kerr seems to be a long term project as am edge forward. So I would say, at this stage, Kerr back to prop rotation wont happen.

However, it will be interesting to see the game plan around Kerr tonight, especially in the wet.

Id prop him tonight...and just plough away....wont be to many offloads in those conditions....not that we do many anyway.....keep it tight in the pigs is the go....he may be a long term edge runner with his long stride but not atm imo

You gents are right , the weather will make it a tight game and give the Big Red V a good chance to be there at the end . Who knows , a touch of brilliance from the Duff or some magic from Bird setting up one of our big boppers (?) who goes crashing over the try line in the final minutes of play .

:innocent: “ oh when the Saints . . . . “

It seems Kerr to the edge is a long term project for Hook.

While there are positives with his wide running threat in attack as we saw in Mudgee, so too we saw his lateral movement issue in defence is still a work in progress.

My main concern for tonight is how well Hook manages our edge forward fatigue.

The glaring issue during each round one game so far for mine and with the heavy surface I would be more comfortable with Ford or Ellis in place of Williame.

Let's see how it plays out.

How good is having the footy back!

To be fair long term projects weren’t a thing McGregor ever persisted with unless it was a McCrone or Latimore. I’m not sold on Griffin yet but at least he seems willing to give players a fair chance to establish themselves if that’s his plan for Kerr. Plus how good was it not to see McGregor’s dumb head or hear his stupid aphorisms during a coach’s preview?

GAME DAY!!!
Go the mighties!
Wet out there, will that help or hinder our chances?

I'm tipping that Bird will send Ramsey down the sideline for 2 tries today. Let's hope both wingers are on their defensive game today. Ravalawa can be a brute in defence when he is on his game.

Ellis and Ford are both lining up for the reggies game.

Yes, the rain pisses off, the sun comes out and no southerly:joy::joy:
It's ftesh alright. Light drizzle, southerly is still here and surrounded by cover. Can't see the sun or the sky.

Reserve Grade: Saints 6 - Newtown 4.
Half time.
Some good goal line defence.
