Round 1 v Sharks

I have an awful feeling that the Dragons will be playing quite a few games on either Sunday or the Monday night this season .

Personally I believe that whoever plays the Monday game is considered to be not a contender for the big matches at season’s end - it must affect upon the teams morale , at least that’s the way I look at it . Then of course the poor sods may need to have a short turn-around the next weekend immediately putting them at a distinct disadvantage .

Still as far as our chaps are concerned I just want to see some commitment and pride in their jersey and a bit of wholehearted effort wouldn’t go astray neither . Not getting my hopes to high for the season itself , but hey Miller wouldn’t it be nice to start the year off by beating our baby brothers from the shire !
Agree on all fronts!

both clubs love bragging rights after these games!

Booked in most of my trips to Kogarah. Mostly Sunday arvo games but there is a Thursday in there, which imo is the hardest to get to.

Early start today, just about to board on a far too early Sunday morning, but preferable to the Thursday night rush.

Go Saints.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday
Summary

Rain. Windy.
Chance of any rain: 95%
rain_95.gif

Sydney area
Cloudy. Very high (95%) chance of rain. The chance of a thunderstorm in the morning. Winds southerly 35 to 50 km/h decreasing to 25 to 35 km/h in the evening.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Cronulla bring in A.Fifita on the bench. It'll be a tough game in the wet. We need to hold the ball and complete our sets, play down the middle as much as possible, play with a bit of depth. Dufty, Hunt and Clune backing up every run.
I haven't seen all the games so far this weekend but I haven't heard of anyone taking advantage of the new scrum rule - a penalty if you break early - our boys should hold the ball in the scrum, it's an easy penalty ( if they police it like they're supposed to ) and a gift 20 - 30 metres up the park and great if you're stuck in your own half.

Can't wait for kick off, good luck boys.
Go Saints !
Kerr for a hat trick ( a la Sims in the 2018 final against the nags ).
