You said if Sim’s doesn’t go for the ball Dufty gets it. But clearly Dufty was not in a position to do thatWhere did I say Dufty was directly behind Sims?
And your photo shows Dufty behind the line and the ball. Not 2m in front of it.

He must receive far more ball.We need a hard running five eighth to help the forward pack and bird needs to moved there as soon as possible. Sullivan needs the 14.
Norman can take up a boxing career
No because he was covering Katoa like he should have. Sims was in position to take that grubber. I'm not sure where you want Dufty to be positioned without leaving Kotoa in open space for a cut out ball? Was he in a position to cover for Sim’s error??
I feel like the summary is incomplete without a point 10.Take aways from tonights game
- Whilst the Sharks are no great side we showed a lot of improvement from our CC outing.
- Fui had his bets game since joining the club and tried his heart out.
- Our forwards had a decent dig and didn't shy away from a bit of argy bargy and niggle and in fact looked like they wanted to go on with it which was the most aggression they have shown in 2 or 3 years. Merrin though is well past his prime and needs to be looked at.
- The Sharks didn't tear us apart with their attack and if we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot so much we had some chances.
- Our effort straight after half time was very encouraging and the best we have looked after a halftime speech by a coach in years. Vaughan certainly played with more aggression in the 2nd half and if he builds on that we will benefit greatly.
- We can't have 2 passive players in the halves we need someone to take the game by the throat and be willing to keep everything rolling forward at pace so Clune & Hunt won't work and Sullivan is out so no doubt Norman will get a shot but IMO it is obvious Bird needs to be at 5/8 and maybe Slim Shady get a run in the centres?
- AM I think played 80 and made 40 plus tackles so not so bad but he needs to work on his leg see over 5 - 10 metre dashes?
- Dufty will get talked up for his try but at 25 years of age needs the penny to drop re defence and commitment although fair to say I would rather see him drop a bomb then not attempting to catch them but there is a limit to how far you can go with that.
- Hook obviously has a clear plan and is working towards that end and needs to be given some clear air whilst he puts it together.
Agree that it was disappointing that Sims messed up and they scored. My argument here is with the orange man who is hell bent on thinking Dufty takes the kick if Sims lets the ball go. You and I both seem to agree that Dufty was focused more on the outside and not where the kick wentNo because he was covering Katoa like he should have. Sims was in position to take that grubber. I watched the game and saw the usual Dufty rocks and diamonds show. Dropping bombs with no one within 30 meters of him, dropping a bomb with some pressure applied and glaring at Wiliame as he obviously felt the winger should have taken the kick, screwing up the captain’s challenge and I also saw his fantastic solo try when backing up through the ruck and burning Kennedy. I saw both sides of Dufty tonight but obviously you can’t admit that he had a mixed bag tonightIncorrect.
Your argument is that Dufty was at fault for the second try.
Multiple people who actually watched the game are now telling you this is not the case.
Dufty failed to fully commit. It did look like Hunt could of got in his way there. Who knows? I love Dufty's attacking brilliance but he has to cut some of these errors though.
10. Ramsay showed enormous potential as a FB showing speed and tenacity on kick returns and using excellent tackling technique which clearly showed that front on a much smaller man can put a much bigger man fair and square on his arse and prevent him from scoring.I feel like the summary is incomplete without a point 10.

Unfortunately your clouded view of both one of our best players and this forums best posters is impacting on providing a factual & impartial view of the game.I watched the game and saw the usual Dufty rocks and diamonds show. It was factual and impartial. He made some horrible errors and scored a magnificent solo try.Unfortunately your clouded view of both one of our best players and this forums best posters is impacting on providing a factual & impartial view of the game.
Surely you can snap off a point 12?11. I sadly forgot to say how well we managed the 6 again rule compared to our previous efforts. We were pathetic in the CS but fantastic tonight so perhaps we were well and truly leg weary from the pre season on CS game day.
Point 12. Macca played 80 mins and made 64 tackles for 1 miss. Outstanding effort don’t you think??Surely you can snap off a point 12?
