Any win is good even when it was ugly.
I really like what Mybe adds as dummy half rather than the Slug.
Plenty of improvement still needed, but some confidence and belief is a good start.

Yeah a pretty ugly win but for a team with 6 new faces and half our spine with a combined total of just 18 games, not too shabby either. We'll get better, we've got some handy players to come back in the side and Hook might soon bite the bullet and try other options at Hooker if today was a sample of things to come. Discipline, urgency to get to the loose ball and much quicker play the balls should be in focus at training this week. Gosiewksi should be dropped for Ford who's a much better and busier defender.
2 points in the bank, excellent.

Most pleased with the win , not as we would had expected from a well oiled premiership machine , but for a team that has yet to gel in the first match of the season proper , they played well . When it mattered the boys dug in and came home with the chocolates .
Ravawala - the man is a human tank , needs to work on his handling undoubtedly , but a tremendous first-up performance from him .

Two points in the bank.

Banking on Sloan for the future was the right call. Still plenty to improve on.

If we are going to contend this year you'd think that Ravalawa will need to be among the top try scorers and metre eaters from the red zone.

We aren't quite settled yet on the make up of our pack, in particular the props rotation

The lapses in discipline are still a concern which will bite us big time throughout the year if we aren't careful.

Officials are still overpaid and unaccountable rubbish. How can Lomax be tackled clean off the ball like he was? How was the pass from Johnson to Kotoa not pulled up (I acknowledge that the Rava second try to get us back in front was probably a square up but never should have got to that stage in the first place).

Big week coming and second round contest coming up.

Just a few comments

Lawrie and Ramsey have clearly improved

Saints attack was predictable because virtually all the possession went through Hunt. Hook needs to get Amone more involved.

Sua is a beast. Sloane and Ramsey need to hover off him.

Suli too, is a tremendously powerful runner.

Rava was a beast today. Amazing display of power.

The 3rd Warriors try resembled an NFL pass. How it wasn’t called forward is a mystery.

Mbye provided the necessary spark at 9 today.

By mid season, I can’t see Macca retaining his spot.

Many solid performances.

Wasn’t pretty, but there was no shortage of effort.
