Kerr knows he is running out of chances, Jacky G. will want to sieze this opportunity, there shouldn't be any lack of effort off the bench. Kerr just needs to resist the temptation of low percentage offloads.

The thought of Amone and Sloan get me really geed up for the new season. We know what they are capable of and just hope the coach and old hands can mentor and manage them right through what will be a season of many tests and trials.

That being said, those that have been following the lower grades rate Sullivan as the best of the young crop coming through. He has the biggest wraps on him. He's done a lot of sitting out due to injury, but I hope as soon as he is fit he gets first shot at a utility role or if a halves position opens up. Mbye and Macca can do the fill in stuff. We know how important the 1, 6, 7 and 9 spine is and it's obviously clear in which position we are lacking premiership winning quality.

Simms picked in front row for reserves. So calf not the issue. Odd due to the position he’s picked and that it’s the last year of his contract. Are they trying to shift him on earlier? Or is it simple to give him game time. Big fall from grace from origin in ’21.
It seems like Hook can’t ever pick a team without a couple if head scratchers.

Lawrie ,Kerr, Gosiewski aren't my first picks particularly Kerr who's had plenty of games to prove himself last year.
Ford wouldn't get anywhere near the top 18.
Michael Molo looks better than him.
Once Sims and Burgess are back with min under their belts they will hopefully go into the 17.
And also moose when he's back..

So do the extra first grade reserves go back into the reserve grade side once the final 18 is selected? If so it's a pretty solid reserve grade team.

Agree Kerr is the one who needs to prove himself through ressies I would have thought ! one of Simms or Burgess needs to play, Warriors are a huge pack and on paper the dragons look like they might get pushed around a bit

I'd like to think both were selected in reserves for game time (SURELY)!

If Sims and Burgess aren't fully fit I'd rather see them get some minutes in reggies rather than come on in firsts and get busted.
Why does every selection someone disagrees with have to be "political"?!
Having said that... Why Josh Kerr on the bench, Hook? Why?! Must be political.

Sims is at a stage in his career where he is after the dollars more than anything else. He will move on the question is when.

Clubs that lose a back-row forward early, will most certainly make him an offer - 2 year deal at 600k. My tip is a reunion with Vaughan in 2022.
