Round 10 vs Knights...

Of course he can, but he is an edge forward and whilst he is very good attacking wise, his defense still requires a bif more work.

Apparently a decision on the JDB case will be known this week, and I imagine they've been holding off making appropriate adjustments to our roster until then.
Latimore can't attack or defend so maybe ask for a hardship dispensation and swap them as he needs a bit more development.

Interesting comment from Mark Coyne on the footy show...stated he couldn't understand why lomax was taken off in the Warriors Game..unless he was injured...Which as far as we know he wasn't.

If McGregor drops him I will be annoyed ......
Wasn’t Coyne one of the committee members who reviewed L plate & recommended his appointment. If so he’s as much to blame.

Yes, in the forwards drop Latimore and Host. In the backs drop Aitken, and Rava. Give Pereira a boot up th bum. So line-up would be:
1. Dufty
2. Pereira - last chance
3. Lomax
4. Lafai
5. Pearson
6. Field
7. Hunt
8. Graham
9. McInnes
10. Vaughan
11. Sims
12. Frizell
13. Lawrie

14. Timm
15. Kerr
16. Ford - if eligable
17. Leilua
Have you given up on Robson as hooker rotation ???

Round 10 is shaping up to be the defining round of the competition.

With the top 7 teams on the ladder basically playing each other or playing a team on the rise with only the Eels playing the lowely Cowboys.

We of course are 10th playing the 9th placed Knights. The loser is gone from making the top 4 and in fact maybe even the season imo (if we aint already). Add to this our "home" game is in Mudgee lol.

But as I said a great round of football:
Roosters V Broncos
Rabbits v Raiders
Storm v Tigers
Manly v Sharks

If we lose to the Knights and the Broncs beat the Roosters, add in if the Warriors beat (and they should easily) the Panthers, we could be as low as 12th after round 10.

But I guess BJ and the board would be happy with that, as long as people buy membership, thats all that counts to them.

There has to be changes next week, surely!

1. Coach needs to be replaced now. This is first priority.
2. T.Sims is playing injured, why is he named each week!
3. Host also appears to be playing injured.
4. Latimore played 8 mins today, 8 *#^$@*^# minutes
5. Lomax didn't have a good game but 2 try's for the Warriors down his side when he came off, common denominator = Aitken.
6. Rava had some strong runs but its also time to end the experiment.

Coach won't be replaced this year so forget that. Agree Sims is playing injured, Host too possibly. The reason we are still playing them is that we don't have a bottomless pit of forwards. JDB and Korbin are out and Algood is another Latimore, Timms untried and very green and Kerr seems to have gone missing. Our wingers put in but we appear unable to defend against the high ball, both make handling errors and Rava runs in too often. The scary thing is that our pack will lose Vaughan and Frizz during Origin. It is going to be a long season.

..... and if we beat the Knights with out P+/- we can potentially only get up to 9th on the ladder. We really only make a decent impact on the ladder if we beat the Knights by 30 and Manly, Tigers, Sharks and Parra all have a Loss.

Sorry guys have not seen any of Timm but some cry out for his selection. Is he good or is it simply desperation?

Just imagine the ARLC/NRL deciding to introduce a rule to stand down one of the Roosters stars without a hearing and without immediate compensation to the player or the club. Uncle Nick would have bounced Beatie and Greenburg out of their jobs and into the civil courts. He would not have stood back meekly like our CEO or would not have had his proxi on the ARLC vote in favour of such a move. Yes Coyne voted in favour of having De Belin stood down without any due process and without access to redress or appeal.

Yes it is now a lost cause. In fact success in 2019 is a lost cause. I've lost a lot of enthusiasm since Mary was extended and so my only hope now is that he will be sacked with a big payout to avoid SGI being the laughing stock of the competition. Instead of us on paper being a chance of coming in the top 4 before seasons start, I have re-evaluated my prediction now and sadly have to say I predict we will end up in the bottom 4.

All power to our new CEO who recommended Mary be extended and to the SGI Board who having been given a chance to change the direction of our Club, sat on their hands and felt honouring old boys agreements was the way to go on this occasion.

Rava out - Pearson in
Latimore out - Timm/Kerr in
Aitken out - Timm/Kerr in

Game plan
FFS, rotate the bench like the big boys do
FFS, lets get some repeat sets & build pressure like the big boys do
It is an absolute waste of time thinking he will ever drop Aitken to CC, infact I expect he will promote him to the starting side & if Latimore is still on the bench I will charter a plane towing a sign McGregor is a f.wit

Maranta to left wing Pereira to right wing, Dufty can stay for now but put on notice. In the centres, pick 2 out if Lomax, Aitken and Lafai with whoever misses out playing CC. I would like to see Sailor given a chance if Dufty doesn't improve effort and once Norman returns, seriously consider shifting Field to fullback of which he has played with success. Lawrie, is not a first grade lock, must go to the bench and used as a Prop with Frizzell to lock. The bench no matter who is selected has to be on the criteria of 2 grunt work Prop/second row replacements, one impact foreard who is used as an attacking spark strategically so he may replace someone who may not be all that fatigued he may come on anyway. The other spot is for an impact player who must be a half or hooker, which ever allows the greatest positional flexibility. That team will at very least play in the preliminary final. Considering we nearly did it despite Mary inflicting the K Mann disability on us
