Round 10 vs Raiders

We are now nailed on to lose.

(a) coming off a good win
(b) coming up against a side in a shit run of form
(c) a win will put us in a enviable spot on the table

Our only hope is the enduring ineptness of Ricky Stuart, but even that may not be enough.

Actually, just looking at the table, if we win big, we could go 2nd, yet if we lose by enough, we could be 12th behind the Warriors. That's crazy.

It's certainly one of those comps this year where it is ridiculously close. I am still filthy about going down to Cronulla a couple of weeks back but it will be even worse if we don't come away with 2 points today. We just have to win these games if we are going to be a chance.

Nah seems like they thought the backrow with Bryce was stronger then starting Ayoub or Foster in the halves. Both got time in the halves while Bryce had no set position I guess a roaming lock.

Not sure about Smith but in the next fortnight DWZ, Wes, Brown, Plum, Humble, Kingston all return so be interesting to see where he fits in the pecking order.

When Foster/Ayoub came on they were playing Hooker primarily. Foster played a bit in the backrow.

Cartwright was primary receiver majority of the plays on Friday night when it wasn't Capewell.

He slid back to backrow once Cherrington and Latu went down but Latu came back on with 10 minutes left and Foster/Ayoub were on the bench.

Watching the 20s. I think there are some players in that team that are being carried. They got found out today. Surely there are kids in the penrith district that are watching that game thinking. Iam better then that. I feel sorry for players like Attwood, Saunders and Cowan. Takle there hearts out for some players to let them down.

Foxsports reminding one and all about that 72-12 win by the Raiders in 2008.

Should be extra motivation for the Panthers.

That was beautiful for all 3 of our tries so far.

Whare to Simmons as per usual.

Wallace vision to Mansour for the kick try.

Then silky movement for a set play with Wallace to Soward to Moylan...that was Storm like.

Our defense is woeful today. Soft so far.

Soward needs his goalkicking boots on....that might be what is going to cost us today.

16-14 at the break.

Canberra obviously have come to play in front of their home fans after two floggings.

Need to stiffen our defense in 2nd half and take our opportunities and we'll win imo.

We can't have Peachey and Segeyaro defending next to each other. Vaughan has run at them three times and made 15m each time.

The trouble is even though they are crap we have let Canberra right back into this match. All they need is a sniff.
I am not confident.

We are mentally a pretty weak side still. That combined with our lack of excitement in attack means that we always look like complete balls when the opposition comes back at us. Yes, we keep it close, but we play down to the opposition so damn often.

On paper, we aren't that bad, but we don't do much.

What u talking about billy?

We scored 3 tries in the first half and we've scored two so far already in the 2nd. Our attack is all that's going ok in this game.

That last 10-15 minutes was embarrassing from the referee's. McKendry penalty to piggyback...then saying we played at the ball when Kennedy threw the ball out then the Segeyaro Penalty.

Weight of possession results in try to Canberra ultimately after Idris had a brain snap and tried to offload instead of holding the ball.

My son plays under 10's and his team has better ball control than this lot. What the hell is Jamal Idris thinking trying to offload on the first tackle under our posts!!!!!!
