i swear when i watched his debut video last year he said he came as a centre for one year and then in 2018 he played fullback

I just did a search on him and your right, he played predominantly at centre during his 15 games in his first year in U20's back in 2016. Then switched to fullback for his 2nd year in U20's in 2017.

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has named his squad to face Manly Sea Eagles at Panthers Stadium on Thursday.

With Waqa Blake (knee), Dean Whare (hamstring) and Malakai Watene-Zelezniak (ribs) out of action, 23-year-old centre Brent Naden has been granted an exemption to make his NRL debut as Panther No.587.

Naden captained the premiership-winning Panthers NYC side in 2015 and returned to the club this season following stints with Canberra Raiders and Newcastle Knights.

The other centre position will be filled by Isaah Yeo, who has overcome a shoulder injury, while James Maloney returns following his one-game suspension.

21-year-old hooker Mitch Kenny has again been granted an exemption to join the team with Wayde Egan still sidelined with a shoulder complaint.

The Panthers will wear the 2019 Home Jersey.

I think Yeo is a smokescreen. Aekins will play centre, Yeo to 2RF or even dropping out of the 17 if he's not 100%.

I wonder if Yeo in the centres has been done With shoulder conservation in mind.
It is a choice that does not solve any problems and will cost us in the long run. Aekins could of at least played wing.

That's my bet. Lessen his workload playing centre but no doubt he will be targeted. Especially if he is marking Walker who is a weapon.

What's with Ivan's obsession with FUIMAONO - he's shown nothing to convince that he should be ahead in the pecking order of Martin or Sele

Mcgrady had a strong game last sunday he scored a try should have had a 2nd but hit the cnr post while grounding the ball.Hes not 100% fit yet but by june 30 he will be ready to go tall fast strong centre whos a pretty good defender too just what we need in 1st grade.

When Cleary isn't at Origin. Luai would be my centre with Naden. Aekins when Cleary is out. June 30 McGrady can play and Cartwright is trying what Yeo is so maybe in some sort of form

Well we have 2 centre spots up for grabs over the next 6-10 weeks so if someone is willing to put there hand up and make it there own position they will be there for the next few weeks at least.Hope naden does well and johns or mcgrady step up both guys are more than capable of 1st grade from what ive seen of them this yr.I was surprised at how stocky caleb aekins was up close at ringrose park the other day they dont look very big on tv but he surprised me when he walked past to go out on the field.

I don't know. Aekins played reserve grade last Sunday and with us playing on Thursday it makes it tight.
Twice this year due to injuries Ivan has pulled players out of reserve grade when he knows we are short the following week in firsts.

I don't think he's a Utility - I don't think he's NRL standard
Can we be besties?

I agree 100%. He's no more a utility than any other player. You could throw Tim Grant into the centres and he would be able to do the same job as Fuimaono (ie. A poor one).

Sadly though our roster is weak and some of our players have done things to get on Ivans bad side. Sele has paid massively for sleeping through his alarm...
