So who played themselves into or out of SSO contention tonight RCG must be among first picked, every Riff forward played well,DWZ my man of match but not by much , a total team victory IE the whole team complemented each other go the RIFF

I'd say RCG and Maloney are certainties. Cleary and Peachey also very likely. Yeo deserves to be in the side but no one in the media knows who he is, so he hasn't been sufficiently hyped for the past 2 months to make the team.

Me too. I think the thing I am loving more than anything is our physicality.

There isn't a player in the team who shies away from tough, hard work in defence and in carrying up the ball. Added to that is that it is done with no thoughts of self preservation and with real aggression. It is also resulting in the outcome of physically dominating other teams. It just isn't a trait that our sides have had to the same degree in the past.
It was that brutal. If the Dragons were playing next week, they would be too fooked up.

I would think Cleary is a certainty after tonight, cant see Yeo making it but would not be out of place, one of those unsung heroes that all teams need, Col Vandervort style of player.

I think Yeo might jag a spot in the squad of 20 that’s goimg to be announced early.

Another reason he should really be considered is his ability to play in the centres if there was an injury.

I've watched a few of your games this year and have been impressed and knew tonight was not going to be easy, but geez, I honestly didn't see that coming! Out played us, out coached us, wiped the floor with us. Congrats ladies and gents, you chewed us up and spat us out.

Don't worry, I don't think many Panther fans were expecting it either.

I thought it was going to be a bruising battle in the forwards that might go either way, and would be decided by a few points at most - or it even possibly turning out to be the case that Penrith weren't really up there with the best teams this season and that we were going to get found out by the Dragons.

I definitely didn't see us handing out a belting and physically dominating your side at the same time.

Well done boys on the great win tonight, one of the best wins I've seen in over 30 odd years, very good times to be a Panthers fan. Lets hope we can continue to sellout the stadium for the rest of the year and bring these boys home strong to the gf. Yippy ki yay mother f**kers.

Interested to hear people's thoughts on whether the upcoming bye is good or bad timing. With our injuries and the fact we had to really get up for that game I think it may be very good timing but at the same time we are on a roll and it may have been nice to go at it again next week. Although I do think a drop in intensity could have been expected if we were playing next week.

Always hard to tell but I think it will be good for us. Tonight would have been pretty draining, and I am sure there are plenty of players who (even before tonight’s game) were carrying injuries who will benefit from the break.

We might not be as switched on the week after, but we will be playing Canberra, who will also be coming off a bye, so they will be in the same boat as us (except that Canberra presumably won’t have as many - or possibly any - players backing up from Origin).

Kikau, Yeo and a few others are playing injured so the week off is great timing
