It seemed we were getting the Roosters on their backs a lot more often than we have the rest of the season. Looks like a change in our defensive technique. Good win.

Geeze I though it was 10 minutes every day of the week.

No way. It was a dominant tackle every day of the week. It was a shit call that I guarantee you would be complaining about if it went against us. But as I said, f**k it, we got shit calls as well.

Foughts From Fangs:

- Dave's Mate: Good decision to allow Maloney to control the side, it should be that way until he leaves the club. The bad: Playing Cleary, and subsequently playing Luai and wasting a spot on the bench.

- Maloney was outstanding and most likely NSW number 6 in game 2 with Keary out. This is bad for us as a club but good for him to secure a deal elsewhere. He was magical today.

- Nathan Cleary is starting to become a very obvious problem for the Panthers. Plenty of people saw it years ago and just about everyone now sees why he can't stay in the 7.

- Back 3 were very good today. Mansour had his best game since 2016 IMO. Great involvement, cleaned up on the errors and has his offload back. Very impressed.

Totally agree about Cleary - good kid, great defence but holding back our attack back. He's way too predictable. Not sure what to do with him but Luai needs to start - too talented to sit on the bench.

6. Luai
7. Maloney
9. Cleary

i'd wet my pants if this happened. We could even keep Maloney next year.
