Good win. Moylan looked good, he and Cleary combine very well. Edwards was solid at the back. Mansour picks up where he left off, what a player.

Merrin playing like this is a real help, great to see him back to his best.

All the changes this week had good games, Moylan, Edwards, Rein and Mansour.
But can someone tell me why when we have a player as important as Yeo out there playing on one leg, we only play Kikau for 9 minutes?

That was a mystery to me as well. Kikau nearly scored but dropped the ball, and a few plays later he was off. The game was already over at that point so why we didn't leave him I have no idea

Some of our last tackle plays were ordinary. Apart from that great game Merrin once again 200m no missed tackles. Our pack plays like that every week and we will take so beating

Improved performance for sure but not getting carried away. We need to knock off a top 8 team or 2 before we can say "we're back!"

Teams we have beaten:

12th, 14th, 15th, 16th (x2). So I will settle for a Top 11 team to start.

12th were missing Reynolds, Graham and Morris. Had 2 players backing up from Origin too. Tough game v the Sharks last week.

We looked so fresh yesterday, full of energy. The Bye came at a good time.

Great Win.. Rein i thought played great (and im not of a fan of his) . Good service all day. Moylan did what Moylan does, great in the 6 and looked like creating something every play.

So good to see Mansour out there..

That performance beats a top 8 team in my opinion. Maybe not the top few teams but if they play like that consistently we will make the finals easily.

That performance was what I expected first game of the season.
Great to see it in spite of the coach.
First real "team" performance of the year.

I thought Moylan touching the ball 2nd rather than 3rd every play helped with the flow of the team.
Yeo and merrin were amazing, and CHN needs signing immediately.

There is another way to look at this. Of our five wins, three of them had won the week before. The other two had lost by 1 point (to a top 4 side) and 6 points. They were all in reasonable form at the time we played them.

Moylan missed some tackles yesterday but he did some good things also in defence, forcing the error early on and generally leading our line speed on that side really well. He will control the defence on his side of the field much better than TMM or Carty can at this stage.

Lots of good players out there.

RCG not really mentioned, but he really did add some aggression against a highly rated pack. Really put some hits on big Sam.

Put this win in some context - we seriously dominated one of the bigger and more fancied packs in the NRL. The problem with the Dogs is not their pack - it is their options in attack. Their pack is still full of class and rep players.

Yes, that would be the most rose-colored possible way of looking at it. It is essentially meaningless.

I mean, of all the teams we have played, only 3 out of 11 have won the following week. Of the teams we beat, none won the following week. Hardly teams in unbeatable form. But I don't think this stat means much either. The only thing that matters is whether you can (a) beat enough teams to make the 8, and then (b) whether you can actually beat top sides when it matters.
