Congratulations to Wentworthville regular and PauPau hard on man Kane Evans - Full time Wentworthville prop now and not even considered for Darwin.

Not even good enough for the top 21. Well done Pau Pau. The ultimate visionary
I read reports that Evans lacked match fitness and needed more time after his injury.

You're probably right but and it's not that at all.

I think for our clubs immediate future, Mahoney having a top game out of dummy half will be a real shining light.

Maybe the game is still to quick for Kane, even though it's been slowed down to a snail's pace with penalty stoppages. It's actually slow enough to make the Burgess twins seem like Origin start ups.

If you watched him last week he needs to improve his fitness. He won’t do that playing 20 minutes in first grade.

Look, it's actually the contract length I've been concerned about. 3 year contracts should only be reserved for top 30% regular starting players or young guns with excellent potential.

Kane falls into the lower 20% percentile and is a benchie at best

f**k me, I forgot about Norman coming back.

1. French
2. Hoffman
3. Mennings
4. Hayne
5. Gennings
6. Gutho (c)
7. Norman
8. Terepo
9. C. King (as opposed to The King)
10. Alvaro
11. Ma'u
12. Gower
13. Brown

14. Taka
15. Niukore
16. Matagi
17. Mannah

18. Salmon
19. Evans

Sad state of affairs that we both got 16 of the 17 right.
You missed Hoffman for Salmon but scored with Mahoney for Matagi - well done.

I had Gower in and Taka on the bench but also missed Mahoney for Matagi.

Cant see him being dropped from the 17... not like he was named in jersey 18, 19, 20 or 21
How much game time do you reckon he will get? My bet is 10 minutes if the game isnt close. If we are a chance towards the back end he will warm the bench all night.
I wasnt too impressed with his game in the Regies last week but I have everything crossed he does well. We really need him to be good long term.
Go boy go!

Hard to say. Keep in mind BA hasn't had a chance to swap King out early for a few weeks now due to injuries to others and the need for Smith to cover (Bevan in the 3rd minute last week).
Unlike Tepai and Manu being able to play close to 80 (and therefore keeping Marata on the sidelines longer), I wouldn't be surprised to see King subbed before half-time. He seems to tire after about 30 mins. And Reed is the only option so he could get significant game time.

Also keep in mind that BA clearly knows 2018 is a shot duck and I know he wants Mahoney for 2019 as starting hooker. Might make his choice as to when to play him easier.

I was regretting having bought tickets to Darwin in February until about 4:01pm today :)

The longer the contract generally the cheaper you’ll get them, per year. There’s no reason to limit it to two years. If Kane Evans was good enough for first grade at 25 (when we signed him) then he’ll be good enough at 28 when his three year contract finishes.

Dead set MJC you are a true supporter. Travelling to Darwin given our form is a huge effort. Well done.
I hope you are right re Mahoney. Nothing to lose. Go for it BA. Would love to see Marata get more game time this week as well.

I may be the problem supporter mate - have been to 13/13 so far this year.
Only places I don't seem to get to are Townsville, Gold Coast and Auckland and only because the wife and kid would want to come and I cant afford 3 airfares (not if I want spare $ to go to Darwin, Melbourne and Brisbane).
