So Evans not even on the 21 man bench now.

And thats with Tepai,Scott,Trex considered.

So Matagi,Vave,Terepo,Niakuore,Gower where below in pecking order and over taken him.

If 3 mentioned fit he would be even further away.
He was no chance last week either but they have to name 21 players. Arthur's wants him gaining fitness.

Vave was named in the starting lineup last week (and the week before) but he was the first one dropped when Brown came back. And because Vave was 18th man he didn't get to play for Wenty. That's the merkin BA has written off. Arthur won't care if Vave loses fitness until we have our next couple of injuries.

Especialy when the teams down on troops. I dont buy it. Not like he coming back from a 12mth lay off like T rex for example. Same as Gutherson once fit he was back after an ACL.

Something fishy is goingnon between closed doors I reckon.

Then you'd have to ask the question why Gower, Terepo, Vave or Matagi are all in the 21 and Evans isn't.
Evans played almost 60 minutes for Wenty and struggled through about half of them. There is clearly a plan to get him fit and assuming we're a chance of winning in first grade you don't want to give long minutes to a bloke who can't cope with it. In reserve grade no merkin cares.

Add Niakuore.

Somthn must be up with Evans. He may of missed a couple of game from injury but rnd 14 and not fit?
Disrupted pre-season. That's when players build their fitness. There usually isn't enough time to improve fitness much once the season has started. Game day, recovery and fieldwork take up a lot of the time, and building fitness requires fatiguing the body and rest days. There isn't much time to fit it in through the week.

The racism thing might be a factor this week. But you're right, he might just have a shit attitude.

But is Hayne a better winger than a centre? And if so is Auva'a at least as good at centre as Hoffman is on the wing?
Does it matter if Hayne is as good a winger as he is a center? If the centers are well covered, and he can provide more than anyone else, the attributes that we so sorely miss in Semi, Shouldn't he be the first picked on the wing?
A few big IF's there i know.

Yeah i dont think BA has alot of faith in King ... he has really only used him when he has had to

Agreed. BA picked Will Smith at hooker with no one on the bench when King was available. He obviously doesn’t rate King. But at least he learnt from that dumb experiment that king is a better 9 than Smith.

Probably. But given Hayne's versatility, when deciding between Hoffman and Auva'a you don't need to compare them at the same position.

This:
2. Hoffman
4. Hayne

is just as valid as:
2. Hayne
4. Auva'a

Given Smith played longer minutes than King when both were sharing minutes at hooker I'd say he still rates Smith ahead of King. Vave's brief cameo in the starting side for 22 minutes proves that starting doesn't mean you're the better than the players on the bench. Edwards was playing longer minutes of the bench than most of our forwards as well.

King just starts so he can play those early rubbish minutes when every merkin is fresh and there are fewer opportunities to run from dummy half.
