Great team - although I’d have a Feagai or 2 in there
Haven't seen or heard anyone pushing for Schiller must not thought to be up to it far as age and size and Ramsey on the slight size. Don't rush then but the Fengai Boys maybe a different matter IMO.

Parra @ Parra, wet field, ball sacks last ever nrl game, no Vaughan or Tariq, I’m going 40-10. Sivo and Fergo to each get a double, Moses and Gutho to shred us. Going to be ugly to watch but watching ball sack one last time will keep a smile on my face for the night!! See ya wanker :wave_tone1::wave_tone1:

McGregor's pals in the media and NRL barnacles have consistently tried to romanticize his tenure at St. George.
"Career Coach"
"The players love him"
"Success is around the corner"
The hard luck stories surrounding Widdop and JDB. "If only....diatribe"
2018 finals appearance flogged to death as a beacon of his coaching stature.
But after all is said and done, McGregor was a bog average reserve grade coach with no credentials to coach first grade AT ALL!
No meaningful apprenticeship to any of the top line coaches.

In fact NO apprenticeship whatsoever.
3 years in the Illawarra comp, 2 average years as the Cutters coach and then straight from caretaker to the longest serving coach in the club's illustrious history.
I mean the whole charade is breathtaking in it's scope and magnitude.
One can understand the caretaker's decision but appointing him as a long term coach of St. George? Really?
What were the criteria for such a decision at the time? It certainly wasn't because of his qualifications and coaching experience.
Then the whole scam was perpetuated twice with two extensions and upgrades in salary.
And you wonder why we are now languishing at the bottom of the table.
McGregor is now ancient history but who on the Board was responsible for his appointment in the first place and then the diabolical extensions that followed?
Those responsible should be called out for the McGregor disaster.
Just for the record, I am also totally against him coaching the Team "one last time" .
If I see a lap of honour and an emotional press conference, I will be physically ill.
He doesn't deserve it.
If the club power brokers are serious about turning things around then they need to grow a pair and have an authentic and objective review of the whole club.
Gould seems to enjoy in depth reviews. Come on Gus - St.George Illawarra review MARK II
I liken our Club like a police force akin to having rogue cops that you see in the movies/Netflix series such as Line of Duty (great series by the way). In our case a rogue head coach is running around causing untold adversity and drama for us fans. He is always kept in the loop by someone in the head office and creates havoc to make the club second rate. Who can that head office person be? We have to wait for the continuing episodes to see the twists and turns of the next head coach after the former one had fallen on his sword. What will the final episode of this long saga entail?

SMH reporting Widdop not coming!
Apparently we signed a promising junior.
Three almighty cheers for the (almost) Post McHopeless Era.

Junior Amone.

St George Illawarra have officially shut the door on a return for Gareth Widdop after securing the services of one of the game’s most promising playmakers.

The Dragons have re-signed local product Junior Amone to a three-year deal that will result in him being guaranteed a top-30 spot no later than 2022.

I for one hope we can send Mary out a winner tonight and rip in and give it to the Eels. The blokes gone so no need for the negativity anymore.
f**k him he deserves nothing and got more than he ever should have.

He should go out a loser and be remembered as such because a win tonight will only get him sympathy in the press.

Our new era starts next week and I’m all up for a big win then just to rub his egghead in it.

So which scenario is more likely the boys aim up to send Mary the loser out as a winner.

Or the boys have been up all night celebrating his exit and get smashed because they are to tired to play?
NRL contracts should go back to the old days where there was a sign-on fee and then a win/loss payment each week. If they make a big difference between a winning payment and a loss payment, maybe players would try that much harder to get a win.

I am supremely confident we can win tonight.
They'll have a crack I reckon, send Mary off a winner.
Go the mighties!

If we don't recruit a fullback, I'd say that Schiller will get his chance in late 2021. Ransey on a wing and Feagai at left centre will most probably happen in early 2021.

Feeling very optimistic here fellas, after the news of Paul “he’s a good bloke” McGregor getting the flick, snagging a nice win on the pony’s this afternoon and consuming a handful of CC’s I thought why not have a dabble On SB with some attractive odds on Head to head dragons to win, anytime try scorers: lomax, dufty (free money), ravalawa and Benny hunt. It’s an all dragons affair on my bets pending. Up the mighty red V!

Are we all ready for the love fest for L plate tonight from the commentary teams. Thankfully I’ll be watching Fox which will be bad enough.
Reckon the mob on 9 will be singing his praises all night. You can hear it now, he’s a good bloke, the players have let him down, not having JDB, etc etc.
