We play Parra 5 days after SOO 2
Not set yet but potentially a trip to Auckland after SOO.

No guarantee the guys back up from them. Throw in a games v Roosters, Storm to come as well and quite easily could be 5th or 6th after this period.

So if the club trainer ( who is in the camp ) and the player are right to go then you take it.

Especially with how little the spine has played together this year

Why waste going undefeated until origin? Use it to your advantage not just for bragging rights.

undefeated til SOO looks good and all but we lose this week the Storm jump us.

Going into games v Roosters and Eels.

Brandy is in Origin Camp
Knowles is in Origin Camp.

They will put the club 1st

But if Api doesn't play. Martin gets not much game time.

Hell Freddy is out there enough to start Wighton and leave Luai on the bench for 60 min.

So you can't say no Origin player can play. Depends on the workload on Wednesday.

I wouldn't play an SOO guy every weekend following SOO but if say 3 are fine to go this week. Why not play them and give them the Auckland game off or something.

That is what I mean by depends on the player.

I'd rather use the points earned to our benefit.

Api shouldn't likely play Wednesday so will play Friday obviously.

The points are benefit. I'd rather be in our position than Manly for example but very easy to just assume we will carve up teams when full strength.

Better to go game by game because you don't know what will happen across the next month

Better than risking the world's best half in a nothing game
Melbourne and maybe Parra will overtake us soon if we treat these mid year games as nothing games and are happy to lose them. If we end up having to take a harder route in the finals i.e. finishing 4th and having to go to Melbourne Week 1 then it becomes harder to win the comp obviously. There's also no guarantee we get back our form if we lose it. This is a young team so just as they can get on a real roll and go on huge winning streaks, they are probably more prone to having a bad run of form, than a more experienced team is like the Storm who have been super consistent for years and years.

I think Step 3 will be "Lose" in that situation. Though it better not be because I f**king hate losing to the Sharks.
When asked Origin players are sweet with playing a couple days after an Origin game. It's playing when the adrenaline's left their system that shows how much of a toll it takes a toll. Imo barring injuries that could get worse they should be sweet for this one rest a couple at a time in the games after this that are a chore to play.

The Chooks game is the one we need to rest some players for if we're going to do it as soon as possible. 5 days plus after an Origin game is when it gets hard. 2 days is fine.

Hey Angry,

What’s your thoughts on Moylan’s tenure? Do you think the Sharks will keep him?
In all seriousiness, Moylan is all class when he is on the pitch, the problem has been he has not played much and has not been good value. He does remain unsigned

We may get him at half the price we paid this year, I prefer SJ but he has the same issue, misses a lot of games. I am glad Chad, Dugan and Woods are going though.

I really hope Tyrone May doesnt play halfback he was terrible last week, besides that grubber we almost scored off every touch he had was terrible, he was far to sideways and indecisive, must of been three times inside their twenty he just couldnt make a decision and had to submit in a slow tackle. He never enganged the ling or did anything to create space for his outside men, he should've been moved at halftime it was so obvious he wasnt going to create anything, I was dissapointed in all our senior guys besides fish. The young guys were good I was particularly impressed with Lindsay Smith.

Also if kiks keeps playing like shit bench him or move him to the middle just to try and get something out of him cause he is a liability and has been for a while, to many turnovers and getting exposed in defence no also.

Anyway I think we saw last week why Nathan is worth a million, vision and ball playing isnt worth much for a 7 if you cant make good decisions and wont engage the line, nathan makes the right decision 95 percent of the time its such and underrated aspect.

Should we need to use the guys later in the year. They will be better for that run.

Kiks gained enough metres and had a decent work rate. It was just the outside guys got no decent ball

I watch NRL tonight. Damien Cook said he wants to play on the weekend - Provided he can. If Bennett with all his years of experience lets it happen then so should we.

I don't think all should play. I'd leave Toó out cause he cramps now mid game.

Martin if he gets little minutes and one of the halves.

It is a good mix

How dumb is that? Two teams that were top 4 last year playing 5 days after an Origin match.
Given the rivalry between the 2 clubs, and how well both are going It would be commonsense for the sides to meet full strength.
Typical brain dead NRL. I recall a Storm/Roosters GF re-match a couple of years ago being scheduled while both sides had players out, due to Origin.
If the NRL wants to get more bums on seats they need to get their scheduling right with rivalries and big matches. I realise sometimes teams regress from the previous year, but this clash is a no-brainer.

It makes no sense sometimes. I get they can't control the day it is played due to TV but we play them early in the year normally yet when we both look like being good. They schedule like that

The problem with resting everyone for this game is we play the Roosters anyway in 10 days. So even if they skip this game there's still be tired for that game once the adrenaline's died down and they go into the Roosters game with sore bodies. Are we going to rest everyone two weeks in a row? If not what's the point?

Those in Origin haven't played for 11 Days now. Some won't be fine to play and that is fair enough but 1 game in 18 days before playing Roosters isn't ideal.
