Great win last night. But the most troubling aspect was our lack of forward punch against a very ordinary side.

Only one forward again last night managed more then 100m. Very concerning moving forward and in particular for next season.

Peni again is our sole consistently hard running forward and he rarely if ever gets over the 100m mark due to lack of game time for him. But obviously is due to his fitness and therefore effectiveness over a longer period of time.


So other then Mannah when he comes back, we need to find at least one other forward from somewhere that can give us that consistent go forward. Otherwise against the better teams we will be blown away due to lack of field position and space for our attack.

I agree that is definitely the biggest issue in the squad going forward, from being a team that is going to challenge for the Top 8 to a team capable of winning the comp.

Don't forget last nights win was without our starting centres, half back and both props ( yes Paulo has gone but we haven't replaced him yet).

Agreed. Very good effort last night. BA is great but I can't keep my enthusiasm up after hearing the news about Semi. Just hope the statement on the official site is true.

Interesting that Paul Carter has copped a 1 match suspension for contrary conduct for hitting Norman's legs after a kick, but it wasn't even penalised in the match...

What's interesting about it? The refs missed it they miss heaps of shit, the mrc didn't but they have the benefit of replay (not that it doesn't mean they have missed shit as well)
