Surely there is less stress supporting an underachieving club? Look at how Roosters and Manly fans slash their wrists as soon as they lose a few games.
Recent premierships should lessen the effect of a few losses. I wouldn't give a shit about losing games for at least 2 years after (if) we win a premiership. Following a team that wins most games should be piss easy.

The weird part is that i handle stress really, really well at work.

Parra games (and Colts games), not so much (as is evident if you see my posts during games). I guess it because it actually means something to me, maybe more than it should.

I get paid to work so therefore in the line of work i'm in i get paid to be calm in extremely stressful situations when it is required.

It's like compartmentalisation or something.......

It's because you have some influence over what happens in your job. Not so the Parramatta Eels.

Really, we're all f**king idiots for caring so much about a sporting team. I work with some very effective people and most of them don't really care about any particular team or competitor, even the ones who love sport. They're able to enjoy watching any contest because they don't care who wins. Obviously they are also denied the mind-blowing thrill of victory.

Have to agree when I think about it I don't really enjoy watching eels games because I'm to invested in the result however the enormous high beats the enjoyment of just watching a match where the result is not as important. Of course that also means an enormous low when we lose on top of not really enjoying watching the match

So true
Funny how it seems
Always in time, but never in line for dreams
Head over heels when toe to toe
This is the sound of my soul
This is the sound

I bought a ticket to the world
But now I've come back again
Why do I find it hard to write the next line?
Oh, I want the truth to be said

Shit sorry guys I thought I was in the Foran thread. It's a song about his life.
