Griffin has a lot to answer for. But he's not responsible for everything.
We need our pack to stop letting the opposition make more metres than they do every set. They get rolled through easily and then our back 3 get less room to work and are expected to carry our forwards up field.
The same people who criticised Cartwright for throwing bad passes are now bending over backwards to make excuses for Moylan when we all know that bad passes are the coach's fault. ..
Talk about hypocrisy.
Guess what. All players make mistakes at times. Mistakes like that are not usually the fault of the coach.

Read everyones posts. Everyone has called him out for it.The same people who criticised Cartwright for throwing bad passes are now bending over backwards to make excuses for Moylan when we all know that bad passes are the coach's fault. ..

No shit. Literally no-one is arguing any differently, no matter how much you try to pretend otherwise.
Moylan at 6 is not the issue. He will be fine there. Everyone here who backs the coach will be excited to come in an say "Look, he did what you wanted in terms of 1 and 6 and we still lose" as if that means anything. When I was bucking for Moylan at 6, it wasn't because I thought it would magically make the team unbeatable; I wanted him there because it is obviously his best position AND Edwards is a better fullback.
But now that Griffin has addressed one of his glaring deficiencies (picking a team that makes sense), we still have to live with the other 4,217 problems he has until he gets around to solving them as well. Maybe he needs a priority list:
1. Mentality
2. Game plan instructions
3. Attacking set ups
4. Interchange use
5. Discipline
That would be a start. Go Griffin!
What did you miss?
Tom.
Moylan threw 1 bad pass and people are trying to use it as a gotcha moment. It's rediculous. That pass didn't cost us the game and it didn't stop us beating any top 8 teams. Neither did Carty to be honest. That record is on Griffin.
We lack ball control, discipline, composure, patience, mental toughness. Our defence is shit, our attacking structures and game plan is shit. Our use of the bench is shit...but all this is obviously the result of one f**king terrible pass thrown early in the game in round 17. Poor bloody Griffin you gotta feel for the guy, he probably didn't apply for this job, he just got handed a football team that actually needs coaching!
So many games this year (Including yesterday) I've been impressed with our opening few sets. Our forwards looked very good with the ball in hand yesterday. Merrin and RCG were making great inroads up the middle.
1st South Sydney set and all that work was undone. They literally did the exact same to us and more.
Our pack needs to show far more intent in defence. The smarter teams can do it without getting penalised as well.
"Composure, patience, mental toughness"
They're all aspects that a coach is meant to instil in a team.
Billy please reread the posts and I suggest you do it slowly so you can understand them, can you point out where anybody has said that Moylan shouldn't have been moved? .
There were so many problems with the team yesterday, but one reoccurring one is the 25 minute mark when we change the forwards.
Each week this has been a problem for us, Latu is giving a lot of penalties away and Browne offers very little, we always fall off the pace at that time.
