I am not the coach so it's not my call but it was convenient to blame Cartwright for his faults but Moylan is exempt from the same errors? And like I said watch him over the next few weeks and see how he handles pressure and get back to me .

Like in Canberra you mean? Or does that not count now?

I stated earlier: I never believed Moylan at 6 was a magic card that meant we win all our games. But 6 is his position, and he needs time to work on it. He should have had a season and a half up until now, but never mind. But it doesn't really matter if he does become perfect, because he won't be able to drag the team past Griffin's influence.

Right, I won't convince you, you won't convince me.

I just don't think it's that insane to think one play can have a major impact on a game or a result.

Herbert, these are grown men. eventually the players need to be held accountable; take responsibility and get themselves in the right frame of mind. You can lead a horse to water....

I have no issue with people thinking Griffin is a dud coach, To some degree I agree but I do have an issue with every single individual error being blamed on Griffin with Moylan etc getting little blame for crucial errors. Last week Griffin got blamed for Kikau dropping the ball. Seriously.

Case in point.

The war between Anti-Griffin brigade vs the not quite Anti-Griffin-Enough brigade is f**king boring. Chill out, we all want the same thing here.

That said while Griffin didn't throw that pass (and that pass DID change the game) the way we responded to it was symptomatic of our problems year. When things get tough we just wilt. That's on Griffin to a degree but I think some of that does come down to the players on the field. This combination of players is missing something.

Gould said the players who were going to bring us our next premiership are at the club. I don't agree. We desperately need a hard nosed 150+ game player who's going to be out there for 60+ minutes to settle things when it's going south. Tamou should be that player but he's really not.

At 8-0 up with 60 minutes left? Yes, that is insane. But you're right about one thing: there is no way I'm going to convince you of that.

You realise the mistake wasnt just knocking on or kicking one a little long. He tried a major Hail Mary, hero play & cost us all momentum & ascendency & 6 points (maybe a 12 point turn around). For a player of his quality & pay packet, it was an indefensible play.

Not sure what the Canberra reference is too and after his performance today it doesn't mean sweet F all in the big picture.I don't think 1 game maketh the man but let's see how he goes over the coming weeks now the pressure is really on

I find it amusing that some of these people think abusing, swearing at and using derogatory terms at others think their opinion has more value and will actually change the coach, team or game plan. Some can't even see their own hypocrisy.

Yep let's blame the coach for shit discipline he sent the message for the crap pass and the missed tackles at some stage the players to to be accountable for there actions
.

So what if anything would you blame on the coach this year?

I mean if the players aren't performing doesn't he at least get blamed for not dropping them?

Moylan as per usual was perfect & it was all Griffin. Can't understand why Griffin told Moylan to try and be a hero & throw a 30m cut out ball to an already marked winger when he could of just rolled into the in goal and built even more pressure when we were completely in control.

Not laughing AT you,but I had to have a bit of a chuckle when I read this.^

It's interesting that people are trying to point out Moylan as a point of criticism for that game. He's our captain and 5/8 who saw an opportunity and tried to take it. The replay showed the ball slipped out of his hands while passing. Happens to everyone. 99.9% of the time he makes that pass and with the space that CHN had in front of him he scores easily. Other than that he didn't do anything wrong and kept trying all game.

It was the fight that turned the momentum of the game not the pass as well.

Yesterday was not our first terrible performance. Its just the first time in ages the opposition didnt let off at halftime.

Look back at our last 6 games and the only great 80 minute performance was over the Bulldogs. A few lucky wins where teams gave us a bit of momentum helped hide the issues that were always there. We crumble the second momentum is against us and seem to just hope it swings back rather than forcing it to swing back.

We need our pack to stop letting the opposition make more metres than they do every set. They get rolled through easily and then our back 3 get less room to work and are expected to carry our forwards up field.

Merrin missed 5 tackles. Tamou missed 5 tackles. Thats 2 overpaid blokes not even getting the simple things right. Katoa missed 6, but to me he isnt a first grader. CHN missed 5 and Latu missed 4.

25 missed tackles between 5 of our forwards. The lesser guys you can forgive, but Latu, Merrin and Tamou are experienced enough and big enough that it shouldnt happen. We paid them big money and are not getting a return on that investment this year. We pay them as rep players and tgey certainly arent oerforming as such.

Come on guys the season isnt over yet we can't judge griffin until it is over lol what a crock of bull shit.

Moylan made a terrible play no doubt but if you don't think the coach should take responsibility for the teams performace then you are a blabbering idiot. This has been happening all year whether Moylan f**ks up or not. We can only beat shit teams and even then it's only when they are playing poorly. If they play well we lose, seriously we poorly prepared and coached overall.
