Glad to have been out last night and didn’t have to watch the game. Normally I’d watch through but I wont go near it. Hunt running for 5m days plenty. But my look at the stats said that Sullivan hadn’t run at all in the first half. Has he gone missing or is Hunt not letting him get any ball? If he is going to be the 7 going forward he needs to show some more in NRL. Many good reserve grade players never handle the step up.

This so called team owes me for sitting in the stand with all the feral sharks supporters till the end last night. It was freezing cold & they were laughing & making jokes at our side, I had no comeback we are a rabble, at an all time low, embarrassing & its actually worse when you see it live. I will go on about it again but if our wingers are selected next week I will refuse to watch multiple tries due to running in to attempt to take the centres & tackle air. Rava did it multiple times & then just walks back into position, they are obviously not told otherwise. There are multiple other comments, this group (excluding JDB whose frustration was evident last night) dont deserve to wear this great jersey ! My rant is over......
Exactly right.

I really though Saints were doing OK in the first half till Feagai genuinely gifts them a try. I don't get it, centres and wingers would have defusing bombs as part of their bread and butter yet Feagai turns his back when the ball is literally on top of him? There was no excuse for that. What was his whole thought process? Clearly he had no idea where the ball was, what to do when it came down, who was around him etc? Was he looking at the crowd before the ball was kicked? What the hell happened? It was just inexcusable. I hate blasting a youngster but that was really poor and after the past few weeks I was expecting a big game from him being a Dragons junior up against our bitter rivals.
Sharks made a laughing stock of the Dragons. Once things go against them they just give up as if to say, we have an excuse now lets just play through the motions. No more blaming Hunt and Hook. I feel as if they are getting a free ride now with all this negative press putting is such poor performances. They clearly have themselves to blame now and nobody else.

If they get the spoon, last thing I would do is have any off season celebrations especially and end of season trip. The money paid for those is from the fans. It's bad enough being paid to dish up this rubbish during the season in front of the fans but to then celebrate using their funds? As for the board. Whoever made the decisions to keep hook beyond 2022 should be shown the door. Clearly they have no care factor for anyone but the ex-coach and his sidekick. If they have KPI's then they clearly did not make it.

I would be whipping the boys even harder in training once the season is over during the finals series, to set an example of what you get when you have a terrible season. No time off at all, just give them the public Holidays off up until Round 1 2024. Make them train every day up until then.

The many times I have copped it from my St George mates when the Sharks were a complete pile of shit....

Flanno, will turn this around.
It is better for him to join end of season then now, it is showing him which players want to compete and who dosent.
You do have have a few good players, and Flanno will toughen them up, and also put systems in place for pathways.
The player on big money you somehow need to offload is Lomax, he had potential but it won't be seen at Dragons maybe not anywhere.

I noticed Sullivan not doing much running. What was his reason? Was he told to not run as much? Surely when there was a need for players to step up irrespective of the shitty mindset of Hunt, a player like Sullivan should have shown more mettle and do his own thing.

When Hunt goes and Sullivan moves into the 7 spot, he better have a better attitude because I cannot see him doing any better than the rest of our no hopers at the moment.

I agree with most of your post Slip except for your last sentence re whipping the boys harder at training once the season is over.....for mine there would be almost no one left to whip end of story

Mate need Hunt gone before Sullivan can have full control of the team , at the moment most things go to Hunt , then and only then will we know after more time at 7 if he can manage the team ......

I think there's a fair bit of overreacting going on here. Sure, we sucked last night, but I prefer to look on the bright side:
-We don't have to worry about footy for another week.
-Today is a work day, and so once we get that unpleasantness out of the way, we can look forward to a stress-free weekend.

For all the doom and gloom, recent examples show all is not lost. I posted this on another thread, but I think it's worthwhile posing here:
-The Roosters got the spoon in 2009, played in GF the following year, and won in 2013, 2018, 2019.
-The Sharks got the spoon in 2014 and won in 2016.

As these two recent examples show, things can turn quickly when the right systems are put in place.

In Flanno we trust.

I was at an indigenous tour of Barangaroo on Monday. The young bloke doing the tour mentioned the NRL a couple of times through the session. I asked him a question and he asked me which team I supported and I said St George. The group of people on the tour with me just laughed at me / us.

It has come to this.
My daughter delivers pizzas for Domino's. They nominate their favourite team as a conversation starter with the clients. She used to get comments like "good game the other night", or "you were a bit unlucky". Now she gets "you poor thing" or "Dragons supporter? Bwa hah ha!"

It does get her down. It shouldn't, but it does.

I wont be going, I cant put myself or my kids through that anguish again, it looks way worse at the ground than on TV, also you have the other supporters giving it to us at our home ground, we dont need that embarrassment in our lives.
Just go in casual clothing with no identifying supporter colours and and walk out of the ground smiling.

Sullivan will still need help, he is young in NRL games.
Organising halfback who wants to be at your club, he needs that for 2 years.
You could do worse then chase Mitchell Pearce the Roosters are looking at him.
Just to organise the team, halfbacks are hard to come by
