Griffin. Smiths just a dude doing his best. Not his fault he's nowhere near nrl quality.

The Sharks were hungrier, had more energy and looked like they cared. We looked flat, listless and couldn't be
arsed. For me, that was the worst performance of the year because we didn't seem bothered. Zero enthusiasm.

The coach has to take responsibility for not having their heads in the right space. Also question what our training regime is because we have looked flat for about a month. I also think we have a serious lack of pace in our attack. We always look slow and can never seem to run players down or make a break. Do we have a sprint coach? If so, sack him. He is useless.

I don't know what has happened to DZW but honestly, he isn't playing at first grade winger standard at the moment. He looked to have so much potential but he just looks slow, cumbersome, always a risk of dropping the ball and he can't read a game. As Cartwright run across field drawing players, he stayed stuck on his wing like a lamp post and Cartwright ended up in touch. Its basic winger play to come inside when you see your inside man cutting across field like that.

We had Mckendry, Whare, Hiku, Moylan and Mansour missing. It doesn't explain our terrible organisation in attack through.

I'll be surprised if DWZ gets another contract here, to be honest. He's always been well-overrated on here as it is, but he's not getting any better, and I think he saw his dreams of ever playing fullback here die tonight.

Something that really stood out for me was the amount of times Cleary got tackled with the ball on the 5th, leaving Carty with the kicking duties. It didn't cost us the game, but it certainly didn't do us any favours.

Shouldn't be surprised really, we are a bad soulless team without Moylan, have been for a while now.

Backline was terribly disjointed but I guess you can excuse that with all the changes. Cartwright back defending 3 in, I guess that worked some since he didn't let in any tries all on his own, still it was out there the defence first collapsed. Peachey should be in this team, he's better both sides of the game than JFH and Akauola, even if Griffin wanted Smith at centre. I guess Peachey might be moved on, it sort of fits the pattern. Griffin shouldn't have wanted Smith at centre, and he certainly shouldn't play him again, he should be moved on as he's had more than enough chances and can't be afforded any more no matter how good he plays in cup. Edwards and Hardaker were ok I suppose, allowing for unfamiliarity, not particularly inspiring. Grevsmuhl was one of the few making dents in their line, Merrin another. Latu shifted momentum a little for a while, Matagi too in his second stint but the game was over then, but both times it was very short lived.

We were dominated in the ruck, completely, both ways, as we were against Melbourne. Their line speed was superior too. I don't know how you change that, maybe its just a product of the coach.

RCG should be dropped also, dude was shithouse and made a pathetic attempt on Lewis when he scored

Agree on DWZ and been saying it for a while, Blake following a similar path

We need an injection on speed into our side, even when we create a slight overlap our backs are too slow to capitalise. For some reason guys like DWZ and Blake seem to be allergic to space and prefer to look for contact.

This is the time to be making our move......instead, we look worse each game, and that's saying something.

We don't have any try scorers in this team. Sad when your prop is the most likely.

That was a poor performance from a poorly selected team. The only thing worse than the fact that we didn't look like we wanted to be there for 90% of the game only to come alive when the result was never in doubt is the fact the team is in such a state because of the decisions we've made mid year regarding who to keep and who to let go.

Poor form or not I firmly believe we would have been better off right now still having Soward and Segs playing first grade. We wouldn't have a player like Cartwright playing out of position (and even accounting for this and the amount of talent he needs to pull his head out of his arse), rubbish like Will Smith wouldn't be seeing the light of day in first grade and we would actually have some experience in the side.

I was dubious of Griffin's appointment and I've seen nothing since then to change my mind. Right now I feel like we are heading for Elliott-esque era where the abundance of talent we have coming through the grade will be wasted through poor coaching and administration.

I am sorry to say it but today was abysmal. Diabolical. Call it what you will but that was our worst performance of the season by far. All the possession in the first quarter of the game and didn't look like creating anything never mind scoring and the first time they got in our half Barba scored from nothing. It was all downhill from there even given a Latu barge over got us back in the game. You just knew we were not going to get the job done.

Just watched the press conference and our coach is delusional if he thinks we were better than last week. We were just as bad and probably worse. We have had some poor performances under Elliot, Cleary and now Griffin but this afternoon was as bad as it gets. At home, with everything to play for against an undermanned side and we offered nothing. Absolutely nothing.

The Soward / Cleary combination would have made all the difference today. Letting Soward go is a huge mistake.

Press conference will be more of the same, copy and paste last week.

We have 3/4 fullbacks in our backline. We have a centre in reserve grade, we have 2 wingers in reserve grade, Sharks lose their centre to Origin, lose another centre to injury and bring in 2 centres thats what you are supposed to do, replace players that actually play that position and the fact that we dont have depth in that position is ridiculous, yes we had injuries to our 2 first grade starters but we have butters as the only back up, lack of depth planning and cap management.

Letting Soward go whilst we didnt have a back up was a brain dead, we dont have to pay his contract next year fair enough but now our depth is a massive issue having to chuck in Cartwright denting his confidence, what happens in 3 weeks time when TMM gets back and Cleary gets injured, its ok we just drop Wallace back there to cover oh but we cant because we dont have a f**king hooker, idiots...

Dunno why anyone is shocked at this result. Between injuries, Origin and Griffin not getting along with players we are missing 10 guys from the opening month of the season.

1. Moylan
2. Mansour
3. Peachey
4. Whare
5. Hiku
6. Tmm
7. Soward
8. Mckendry
9. Segeyaro
13. Taylor

Deadset. The side has been torn apart. We can get 2 guys back next week. But we are still a side that isnt doing much for building a future..all these debuts are great..but we arent going to win an NRL premiership with a bunch of kids and no game plan.

I don't think even the return of Moylan, Mansour and TMM will help us out with the way we are playing at the moment. To me they look like a group of players that haven't trained together and have no game plan. Although we do have a relatively east run home I just can't see us being able to turn this rabble into decent footy in the next few weeks to be a chance to make the finals.

I dont think I have been as gutted as this all year.
If the same team gets named on tuesday.... well the coach has lost the plot.
I will say we are doing our best to f#*k up Cartwrights CAREER BY MAKING HIM PLAY IN THE NO.6
I dont want to just bag the team while we are down, but i will pick a team that has a way better chance next week.

1. EDWARDS
2. MANSOUR
3. BLAKE
4. PEACHEY
5. DWZ
6. MOYLAN
7. CLEARY
13. FISHER-HARRIS
12. CARTWRIGHT
11. YEO
10. LATU
9. WALLACE
8. MERRIN

I would love to know who watched Hardeker play and thought he was going to improve our team.
