Every thing went perfectly for Melbourne tonight! From the bounce of the ball to the 50/50 calls.
I was at the ground and I can tell you nobody gave up or didn't try. Not even us few supporters!

Gut the coaching staff Gus our you will get the same result as this year and last with injuries. Also our fowards are way to small. I am a member and i think the club owes me the raiders game not me chase up my seats.

Hey MrAnonymous, I don't want to disrespect your Point of view but I take exception with anybody saying that any Penrith team have up. Tonight everything Melbourne tried worked. Luck doesn't score 50 points, but it certainly helps. From the bounce of the ball to every 50/50 call, it went against us. When you have so many inexperienced players in your team so much bad luck really affects you!

Maybe it is time for Ivan to become Coaching Director and Garth Brennan take over as NRL coach for 2016!

So the Panties are a nice hot coil of pink cat shit.

What's with wearing the pink lingerie for "Heritage Round"?

If you're going to play like shit and get pumped by 40+, why not slip on your turd-coloured nighties from yesteryear?

And Parra are currently above you in the ladder? Ouch...

I wasn't expecting to win this one with Melb coming off a losing streak, Smith's 300th game and Cronk back, but I was really hoping we would turn up with a better start (we started the 2nd half quite well, which was a positive).

I was not expecting we would drop the ball on the first 2 sets (given the 2nd one could have easily been a penalty). We struggled to get kicks away on the last, yes Melb had kick pressure, but our kickers could negate this by being a bit deeper. I was also not expecting them to let out the fullback when they should have forced a line drop out.

Yes we have injuries, but we were totally outclassed and the storm were toying with us at some stages.

Hopefully the last 2 losses motivate us for the next few weeks. But I am just amazed how different our attidues can be over the space of a few weeks. We played so confident and positive against Souths, but back to flat now.

You could see the perfect storm forming on the horizon.

We could smell it in the air that the Storm wanted to make a statement.

This is all good and true for them if they can back it up against the heavyweights.

And as we demonstrated last week,we are far from our true colours in our current position.

If we were hammered by this scoreline with that full and optimum compliment of players that we should have at our disposal, then I'd be livid.

But not today...it simply wouldn't be fair.

I was out last night so I missed the game. I'm guessing it's not worth putting myself through the replay?

Yes. Heritage round? Pink? Hardly a demonstration of the proud history Gus talks about in the video on the Panthers website.

Yes injuries are a problem.

But there are deeper problems emerging?

Just watch the second half. At least we score twice.

I couldn't help but feel that it was boys v men last night. Experience of Cronk and Smith really showed.
I think we can forget about this year. Keep the boys on ice until next year.

When are we wearing the vertical brown and white striped jersey? I think the leaping panther one is our official away Jersey. I preferred the white with black and teal horizontal stripes on the chest we had as official away last year.

We really are flirting with the possibility of entering the battle for the wooden spoon. We are far too inconsistent, too injury hit, and don't do the basics well enough. I wouldn't be surprised if we win only 2 of the remaining games. A lot of 50-50s in there. Luckily, the Tigers and Titans are probably just shit enough (and have difficult enough run-ins) to keep us out of it.
