Round 19 vs Storm

I think people are completely underestimating the injuries. Salary capped league and we have our 3rd choice backline and our main play maker is busted as well as a couple of other problems. We also have a few rookies playing who's confidence has been shot but we've got no choice but to play them.IMO it's amazing that's the first hammering we've copped.

Emotionally it's been two years of the same constant injuries to our best players, that's gotta wear you down and erode all confidence. We get behind and I thinks it's normal for the boys to think we're not getting back into it.

Getting rid of Cleary based on this year? That'll do me.

One change I think needs to be made though is Peachey to 13 and Taylor to 12 to protect Soward, Yeo and Blake. We need another ball playing option in the middle of the park.

When are we wearing the vertical brown and white striped jersey? I think the leaping panther one is our official away Jersey. I preferred the white with black and teal horizontal stripes on the chest we had as official away last year.

Next week v Canberra.

The pink is the away, whilst the white is the alternate.

No idea what the difference is between the 2, but perhaps the pink is the first preference whilst the white is the second. Maybe?

We really are flirting with the possibility of entering the battle for the wooden spoon. We are far too inconsistent, too injury hit, and don't do the basics well enough. I wouldn't be surprised if we win only 2 of the remaining games. A lot of 50-50s in there. Luckily, the Tigers and Titans are probably just shit enough (and have difficult enough run-ins) to keep us out of it.

Raiders (H)
Souths (A)
Parramatta (A)
Warriors (H)
Dragons (A)
Raiders (A)
Knights (H)

We need 5 wins from this lot. Assuming we win our home games, Raiders, Warriors and Knights, we need 2 other wins. Eels and Dragons are possibilities. I can't see us winning in Camberra they have the wood on us down there.

We need to sort out our left side defence.

To start off with we need two [2] big props to take the ball up [ and bend the line and make some metres] then work it out from a better position.

Mate, We're no chance we'll be lucky to win one of them.

This would be a realistic outcome:
Panthers vs Raiders (WIN by 6)
Rabbitohs vs Panthers (LOSS by 14)
Eels vs Panthers (WIN by 4)
Panthers vs Warriors (WIN by 2)
Dragons vs Panthers (WIN by 7)
Raiders vs Panthers (LOSS by 8)
Panthers vs Knights (WIN by 16)

I'm thinking by the time we play Parramatta we will have the likes of Mansour, Simmons, George Jennings available for selection. Back at home next week I reckon we will get home 26-20. However, in saying that Soward really needs to step up. Rabbitohs will beat us easily the following week. Tight game against Parra. Then should do enough against Warriors at home. I would have Dragons down as a loss, but with Moylan hopefully back I think he'll be the difference. Then we will struggle on a cold Canberra night. Finally a win against the Knights, but a poor for and against will see us miss the eight. Best aim would be 1 loss to souths, whilst we could easily only win another 2. In saying that, I hope Cartwright doesn't miss any matches because we already struggle to score points.

We could make the 8 but Moylan I don't think will make much of a difference. Soward is playing horribly and Wallace doesn't offer much more. In saying that it's amazing you can go from belting Souths one week to being easily dominated by the Roosters the next.

So the Panties are a nice hot coil of pink cat shit.

What's with wearing the pink lingerie for "Heritage Round"?

If you're going to play like shit and get pumped by 40+, why not slip on your turd-coloured nighties from yesteryear?

And Parra are currently above you in the ladder? Ouch...
You know your team is in deep trouble when trolls who support teams with six straight losses are able to come in and call us garbage.

Everyone who is harping on about the injuries, yes they have cost us this season but on the weekend we had our starting halves and we're missing our fullback and a few first choice outside backs. A full strength back line doesn't improve us by 40 points. The problem is our forwards are being bent over a barrel every week. Opposition forward packs must be chomping at the bit when they know they are playing us, we are so soft.

Having 4 of our 5 backs out could make more than a 40 point difference. That's nearly a third of the players on the field. Our team was absolutely ripped to shreds outwide where the out of position reserve graders were poor defensively.

We might not be 40 points better in attack. But we could certainly be a lot better defensively with our full strength backline in their natural positions. We probably couldn't win with any line up. Storm are our bogey team. But it's a huge change.

Moylan and Mansour would have made some difference. But the fact is, whether injury is holding him back Soward is playing with no confidence and was horrible on the weekend and Wallace was also surprisingly poor in defence. When your halves aren't playing well, it's hard for the whole team to score.

The halves aren't playing well because there is no go forward. Soward is f**king shocking behind a beaten pack.

Missed 20 tackles between them in the last two weeks.

thoughts on Sege to come off the bench this Sunday?

he was such an impact player off the bench for us a few seasons back, maybe we should go back to these roots to get him firing again, just seems to have nothing these days.

He's carrying a few injuries, out of form, and no opposition gives him any breathing room any more. With our weak pack, I don't think we can afford the luxury of two hookers.
