No my wife is high risk, she has no immune system given she receives regular chemo infusions for her situation so she had to get Pfizer, three weeks between doses.
I had my 2nd Pfizer shot on Wed. On Thursday and Friday, I was so tired all the time with sharp headaches. Today not so bad.

GP warned against getting the Astra-Zeneca shot due to my chronic Gullian Barre' Disease, as he knew of a patient who had a bad reaction to it who had the same condition.

My thoughts for your wife and yourself.

Yeah I get that. I am aged 51, I am a heart attack survivor, and I have a history of medication intolerance, so I had speak to the doctor first. Fortunately, the doctor gave her approval. I had my first jab on the 9th, and 22 days later, no signs of blood clots, so I will be fine. I had no reactions either, not even pain.
The Chief Medical Officer from Queensland has a lot to explain for her gaffes around the Astra Veneca vaccine given there is more chance of dying in a car accident or a bloody shark attack. So sad really. Sadly the negative narrative has resonated in the community and there is a negative perception of a perfectly fine vaccine.

Do you live in the blue mountains? If you do, what surgery did you, and your wife, have your vaccinations done at? Oh, and I am sorry to read about your wife's health issues.

That is fair enough.

All good, we had no adverse issues with the first dose.

We were perfectly fine with getting the astra, but when the opportunity presented to get pzifer, three weeks between jabs we jumped at it. We weren’t intimidated at all by the negative media hysteria around the astra vaccine we were just more about getting fully vaccinated with only three weeks between jabs.

The way our media have conducted themselves around COvid has been sickening in my opinion. They have done so much damage in so many ways with there alarmist rhetoric. According to our media we don’t close borders we slam them shut. It’s just pathetic.

We are long time 30 odd year residents of Winmalee.

Born in Scotland, lived in Frodsham in Cheshire, UK before becoming a 10 pound Pom and emigrating here aged 9.

Moved to South Penrith aged 11 and have been a westie ever since.

We got our vaccinations at the Somerset Health Centre, adjacent to Nepean Hospital. It was vacant floor place, just accommodated to deliver vaccines. The floors below all rented by medical specialists.

As I say we were perfectly fine with getting Astra, we were booked in for it, but when the opportunity presented to get the Pfizer, only three weeks between jabs as opposed to three months we jumped at it. Come this Tuesday we will have had our two shots. All good.

I should say my wife is a dinkydi Aussie and a more passionate Penrith Panthers than you will ever know.

In lieu of the football, shall we all pen our personal medical histories to pass some time?
Maybe you are better off sticking to the alternate Panthers forum.

It is all just meaningless banter, passing the time, it is what it is.

Given your prior history, I’m not sure your are the
man when it comes to talking about the footy.

I live in Glenbrook, and I tried booking in there, without luck. I had mine at the Zenith medical centre, Blaxland.

I’m enjoying sitting here watching the woman’s 100 metre semi finals, but so wish I was watching our game against the Storm. Even if we were up against it, I was still so looking forward to the contest.

If there was any chance we could somehow get our infection rates here in NSW under control I wouldn’t mind the competition being put on hold for a month, but realistically I think we are stuffed and we are in a world of hurt for months to come.

We have to hope the Queensland lockdown works, otherwise I’m not sure whether our season can continue.

In the UK so two AZ shots (as a 40-odd year old); one in April, one in May.

Of course, in the UK they call the Az the Oxford vaccine; which means it is positively viewed in the UK, less so on the Continent (which is where the Aussie press seems to have got its news from).

I caught Covid very early on, May 2020.

Since then had two jabs of Sinopharm vaccine (living abroad).

As a result my current antibody levels are extremely high.

Research suggests I can still carry and transmit the virus though....

I hope your experience from Covid was mild at worst.

I believe given what I have read receiving either Astra or Pfizer doesn’t necessarily prevent you from getting the virus it simply reduces the risk of serious illness or passing it onwards.
