It looked to me that we only really focused and really started trying near the end of the game after Manly scored that lucky try and we were well and truly behind on the scoreboard.

We suddenly focused and started going forward and Cleary took the game by the scruff of the neck.

It suggests that our issues are just mental. We showed in the Dragons game that we have the talent physically. The difficulty is starting each game in the right head space.

But it's easy to see teams are better more often than not while he's on the field.

Cleary wasn't quiet Moylan like. But he clearly has a skillset he isn't allowed to use and doesn't use until a game is over. He shows it when games look to be done and dusted.

We need to be allowed go play what we see from kick off.

Unfortunately, having the youngest roster brings that sort of inconsistency. If your old heads like Merrin, Maloney and Tamou are off their game, then the effect is amplified. Suddenly at the end, the team was switched on and played like champions.
