It was rather dire for 60 minutes but the team still showed some character to come back like that.
I think the return of RCG will be huge because Tamou and Merrin aren't doing nearly enough.
The next 3 games are quite winnable even if we're not playing that great but we will need to improve greatly if this season is going to be any better than the last couple.

Whare put DWZ over once only for it too be dropped. A few mins later Whare was over the line and stupidly passed it too DWZ. Dropped again. We take those chances we get confidence boost we needed

When?

DWZ didnt bomb any tries. The knock on I think you're referring to Dallin was going to be smashed into touch regardless. He was well and truly covered.

That doesn't make sense. Can someone explain how that works?
If you look at the stats, we passed the ball more than Manly and yet had less possession. In fact, we passed the ball about 20% more. I think the game plan was to move the ball and attack the edges, not to hit the ball up the middle and see how strong Tapau and Blake are. For the record, Tapau is f*#king strong. We only started doing that when we fell behind and then we turned it up to 11. With Kikau, Yeo and Blake hitting the edges we made massive metres. Perhaps they were told to do that from minute 1, not minute 70.

It definitely had the impression that for most of the game we were trying to fight the game in the middle of the field and failing.

I heard Brandy on MMM after the game. He didn't sound very impressed with the game today and mentioned that a couple of players are still busted and should not have played today - I'm guessing he's talking about DWZ & Maloney - maybe Kikau too.
