Your blind love for staines westy haha.

He looked scared to run again at times and threw way to many hail marys. Didnt get the defensive line set up at all.

I didnt expect a dylan performance but we saw some good but definitley some last year charlie staines tonight as well.. He looked clueless in attack at times. Which is disapointing because he hasnt played like how he has in cup.

I also really think hes actual game speed with footy in hand is a myth. Tago would be our quickest over 40 with footy in hand. He mowed down coates tonight easy.

I think if edwards is out next week turuva has to be fb.

Also again, if edwards is out long term, we will struggle to go back to back. Hes as important as api, nath and yeo.

It's got nothing to do with fandom. He should've straightened up a bit more on some runs but otherwise was alright. That shit show in attack was all on missing Cleary's management. The defence part maybe but the basic missed tackles worried me more than the positioning.

Again a try saver, 176m, a line break assist isn't a bad game. Coming off had to be more about getting critta into the game.

The issue was we tried to play panthers ball but without nath, and luai to produce the clutch plays and finese moments we couldnt deliver.

We had periods were we looked really dangerous playing back through the middle around the ruck and were carving them up.... but instead of continuing that sos went into panthers ball mode and it played right into their hands..

Very VERY rough and even unfair game to judge on but Turuva was my biggest disappointment for tonight, he was totally ineffective
Turuva didnt look anywhere near as freakish as he did for Fiji.

He wasn't bad. He tried hard. But he just didnt produce the magic i kind of expected him to produce. I was certain he would score some bullshit freakish try on a left edge with Kikau and Tago.

Though the ball playing to our edges was f**king shocking.

Our management would be completely crazy to offer him anything close to the rumoured 700-750K he is apparently on. What we are getting from him this season would be 450K being generous 500K Max.

To'o was already playing less than his 20/21 seasons before Origin but since origin he has been very ordinary by his standards. Not icing tries he normally would. Not breaking tackles like he usually does but even worse is his decision making in defence.

I am hoping with To'o it is injury because if it isn't that would mean he is already in decline.
He is suffering from the same problem Staines had. Momorovski (spelling?) who rarely passed at all followed by Critter who usually only passes too late.. Wingers get a bit cramped when they get the ball too late about 1/2 a metre from the sideline.

I was just really hoping hed put his best foot forward tonight but sadly he didnt..ive been pleased with how hes progressed this year but that was just a class above where he is at tonight. Just wish hed really grabbed hes oppurtunity. He wasnt terrible by any means tho

Let's face it. He was junk. Poor decisions. Ordinary effort getting into position in offence and defence. Effort is the most important element of this new Panthers culture and he just didn't put in the way you'd expect in this team.

That effort on Brandon Smith was horrible, Edwards makes that tackle.
Edwards also isn't late getting across to help Crichton on Nofa

30 minutes? of NRL experience really isn't enough to judge him on though.

Think people are being a bit critical tbh. Minus a 5 min spell our defence and control of the game was as per normal. Even with Melbourne doing a great job of slowing the ptb, we dominated field position which is a positive.

Storms cover defence tonight was ridiculous, credit to them. Took the wrong option a couple of times which also cost us points but we were well short of crucial troops, it’s got to be expected.

My major issue was the lack of ball Kiks got in their 20. Surely he’s got to get it in his hands every set on their line. We seemed to go to the right side more than the left tonight weirdly.

Api and Yeo were tremendous. Thought Staines had a real crack and looked ok, just a bit too light.

The last sentence sums up the performance

I agree. Hoped him and turuva would have some magic moments.

I'm saying the same about established players. Critta, To'o and Martin especially which is disapointing especially critta who I really love.

He saved one but he also missed brandon smith dead and got caught up in the line on their 3rd try when he didnt need to be than was resl slow covering... if dyl gets caught in the line you cant bet your botton dollar hell still be there to cover..

I dont think it was about getting critta into the game... i just ivans a spastic and leota was off look ginger... spencer was hia, martin was off effed... he had no options and rennings couldnt play fb so it was the only play..

Chalk it up to shit coaching i guess amd dumb selections.. but if charlie had knocked the door down he doesnt get taken off

Ummmm the bloke playing hes 2nd ever nrl game that topped our meters... and had equal most tackle breaks for the team?

He had zero fear. He gave it his all. For a bloke in his second game to produce those numbers in such a tight game is quite incredible.
Said the call was rough. He should have been getting a taste of NRL months ago with Nathan and Luai running the show

Charlie could have done better but that try was on our worst player in 2022,,, Martin

With the current lineup the only likely win is the Warriors. So I guess I have to lower myself enough to cheer on the bloody Roosters against Cowboys 🤢 Make sure we get that minor premiership.

This was my thinking too. We need two points to get the MP. We should beat the Warriors with our bench players. No need tp panic/ Let's just win our finals games.
