You don't think Hayne would play their over Moylan? Also he said Austin and Sezar weren't considered as they had no big game experience. They will be top 4 so will get that this year. As will Townsend add to that Brooks and Moses being a year older. There's halves galore. So it should be if he wants to play FB or not here not what Daley might or might not do
Hayne killed it at centre for NSW and Australia. His halves career has been average at best at club level. I think that should be his rep position as it is for Inglis. I think this is the best backline we could field for 2017:

1. Tedesco
2. Morris
3. Hayne
4. Bird
5. Mansour
6. Moylan
7. Maloney

Big powerful backline with versatility. Jennings might feel hard done by. But aside from a try in Game 3 he really had a series to forget. His club form hasnt been that great either. I think like Josh Morris his best is behind him. Likewise with Josh Dugan.

Austin on the bench as utility. Very enthusiastic player with a lot of talent. But not sure you could build the Origin halves around him. He and Sezer really haven't been great at managing games or controlling them like the better halves. But goddamn they can ignite an attack if they get momentum going. I think he could be our Craig Wing style impact player.

Brooks and Moses? Townsend? These guys are solid serviceable players at best.

Moylan will be stuck at FB next year anyway so who knows whether he will get picked in the halves again but the writing is on the wall in terms of him playing FB for NSW, its only going to happen through injuries.

Moylan wont be picked for NSW if he's fullback for us. Not without a few injuries to promote him.

Tedesco
Trbojevic
Hayne

I think all would be ahead of him for fullback by then... and all are good enough they might cram them all in anyway.

The halves list is much shorter. As we saw with him getting picked despite no nrl experience there. His performance was good enough to keep his spot if it was his club position. But if it isnt he would be a utility option at best.

As if you pick your side in the back end of a season with anything whatever in mind apart from what is best for the team. Who gives a hang about State of Origin 2017 at this point in time. We only have one half decent fullback in our club.
