Hayne killed it at centre for NSW and Australia. His halves career has been average at best at club level. I think that should be his rep position as it is for Inglis. I think this is the best backline we could field for 2017:You don't think Hayne would play their over Moylan? Also he said Austin and Sezar weren't considered as they had no big game experience. They will be top 4 so will get that this year. As will Townsend add to that Brooks and Moses being a year older. There's halves galore. So it should be if he wants to play FB or not here not what Daley might or might not do
1. Tedesco
2. Morris
3. Hayne
4. Bird
5. Mansour
6. Moylan
7. Maloney
Big powerful backline with versatility. Jennings might feel hard done by. But aside from a try in Game 3 he really had a series to forget. His club form hasnt been that great either. I think like Josh Morris his best is behind him. Likewise with Josh Dugan.
Austin on the bench as utility. Very enthusiastic player with a lot of talent. But not sure you could build the Origin halves around him. He and Sezer really haven't been great at managing games or controlling them like the better halves. But goddamn they can ignite an attack if they get momentum going. I think he could be our Craig Wing style impact player.
Brooks and Moses? Townsend? These guys are solid serviceable players at best.
