So, next year, no Ellis, Norman, Dufty. With the new signings is there a place for Bird assuming Suli goes in the centre? Sims I would move on if you could just doesn’t deliver at club level IMO. IF Bird starts on the bench do we need MBye? What we do need is a first class hooker. Lastly, Rav, big and strong but IMO to short to be a modern day winger. Ramsey is also in the same boat.
Problems, problems, problems. From 1 to 17 all positions need reviewing and once the right players are put into the right positions - like a hooker plays hooker, a winger plays winger and not a half playing hooker and a forward playing on the wing and so on - we should have better cohesion.

We will have better forwards is what I think - hopefully, our backs will be an improvement I think - hopefully and our bench will be correct - hopefully. Then with a year to "re-learn coaching" under their belts, the coaching staff will be improved - hopefully.

So hopefully, 2022 will be a better year - the problem is, some team has to come last - ahem?

Max was meant to be the centre with Mat outside him. Mat needs some time in the gym & sprint training during the offseason. But we really don’t have any speedsters other than Dufty, perhaps Ramsey but that’s about it.

How good was good was de Belin’s cover tackle on Teddy today?
I actually thought it was Dufty at first then I seen this big unit steaming across. It was a ripper.

My head went down 5 weeks ago bud thats why I havnt watched a game since then....just reading the comments on here makes me sad..... some of these players dont deserve the loyalty that some of you supporters have displayed up till today.....as I said my cue went firmly in the rack weeks ago.....hopefully it will be chalked up again in 2022...btbh there has to be a major overhaul in the establishment right across the park before that will happen....theres plenty of urgent changes that need to be made before we will even remotely resemble a competitive outfit and Im not just talking about the inclusion of Molo, Su'A and Burgess
Not a thick or thin supporter BSE ? I’ve watched every game ( via live or Foxtel ) for the past 20 years through ‘ thick & thin ? Good & bad. For example my interest in the past 6 games is not the wins but how the young kids went. Enjoyed and happy with their efforts today.

I reckon hook will drop Norman next week - what does that say ?
That he truely believed Norman has a necessary component of the team to get us to the semis.. this tells me the coach is inept in making decisions that can positively influence a result..

I’ll bet any money Norman gets dropped next week now that we are out of the running for the 8.
No way, he had a good game.

Mines never been about the wins as Ive stated on here over and over....Ive been around to long to be a fair weather flier..seen more thins than I care to remember tbh...when youve been supporting this club for almost 65 years you have a right to switch off occasionally especially when theres some out on the paddock that are not doing the jersey justice imo......anyhow Im glad to hear you feel the young kids went well today thats more important to me moving forward

Norman simply has to go. Yes, he got a ball away from a half break but apart from that he literally stops the attack. Not just stifle or slows down the attack, he stops it.

For the last 2 games it has to be Sullivan at 7 and Amone at 6. They both showed today that they are our future. Just need to find a hooker somewhere.
I firmly agree re the Hooker.....as much as AM tackles hes way to slow especially the way the pace of the game is today.....should be our no 1 priority next year looking at the make up of the team as it stands today

JDB was the best forward today I reckon and I would go as far to say the cover tackle was a reaction to some of the flack he copped during the week, very inspiring stuff and no reason he shouldn't/can't captain this side in the future.

Those who believe media reports he hid under a bed are a bit fickle I reckon.

My take on the game is:

1. Our fitness and conditioning is poor. We constantly running out of juice after 55-60 minutes. Last 4 Rooster tries were as a direct result of being gassed.

2. I am & tired of hearing the media bleat that the Roosters are down on troops. We were missing out best 2 props, no hooker and no 7.

3. we were dominated in the forwards once again.

4. Sullivan and Amone played well.

5. Hook has recruited 3 quality forwards for 2022.

6. Sloan, Sullivan, Amone and Hunt will give us all the strike we need off decent go forward.

7. No Norman in 2022 will instantly improve the side.

8. We should petition the club to wear the red V exclusively.

9. Dufty made one good tackle then went missing.

10. Tariq Sims should be moved on. As captain you lead by example. If Tariq was injured my apologies in advance.

I think our fitness is fine, just need to cut the basic errors out, that unfortunately leads to more defensive pressure, which leads to more missed tackles and losing the ruck which then leads to fatigue late in the game.

Strongly disagree about Sims being moved on. Not his greatest game today especially as captain but the poor bastard played 70 minutes and made 50 tackles for 1 miss. Been a long year, cut him some slack and hope for a bigger and better year in 2022 with some solid forwards coming in to help him and JDB out.

Agree 100%.
Cut just half the really stupid errors out and it’s a different team with very different results.
The fitness is there.
Then remove liabilities like Dufty and we’re looking a lot better. I’ve been his biggest fan but today showed me how bad he really is.

Sims was terrible last night but he’s not a lock. He’s a second rower or nothing. Burns to the right edge Fui to lock where he played so well early in the season. At the end of the day with our barebones pack we did damn well to even be leading them at one stage.

"Roosters skipper James Tedesco was the main source of the Dragons' pain with a phenomenal first-half performance, racking up 191 running metres, five-tackle breaks and three try assists in the first 40 minutes alone."

A pathetic effort to contain Teddie. Talk about giving your opponent a leg up. Despite this we were in the contest until half way thru the second stanza before we crumbled and allowed in those late tries.

JDB is and has always been our best lock since he took over the spot from Merrin. Griffin is a dill to play him in an unsuited position.. also dont play Sims out of position either. Bird, McCulloch need to be shown the door asap. . along with plodders Ellis, Ford and Kerr.

You are starting to irritate me .
Tuff tittie .

My beef is not with the kid. He has talent. It is the poor coaching tactic of picking a youngster trying to find his way in the big time in an unfamiliar position and watching him flounder. I can see Sullivan cutting defenses to shreds from half if we can find a creative playmaking 5/8. Is Amone the one.. time will tell.
