Catch you all in 22.
My head went down 5 weeks ago bud thats why I havnt watched a game since then....just reading the comments on here makes me sad..... some of these players dont deserve the loyalty that some of you supporters have displayed up till today.....as I said my cue went firmly in the rack weeks ago.....hopefully it will be chalked up again in 2022...btbh there has to be a major overhaul in the establishment right across the park before that will happen....theres plenty of urgent changes that need to be made before we will even remotely resemble a competitive outfit and Im not just talking about the inclusion of Molo, Su'A and Burgess

6 losses in a row... other teams like the Roosters are missing players but don't make the same kind of excuses. In fact they talk up their replacement players.

I don't think many expected a win today with the team we scraped together. We made a jolt for it and Roosters were obliging in giving us a good look. At times they had too much class but at others we just shot ourselves in the foot like we do every game.

The thing is, for me at least, I'd rather read about reasons we found a way to win matches like the one today, the one against the Sea Eagles, the Raiders, and the Panthers than reasons we couldn't have won and were never a chance. We had years of McGregor pulling every excuse from his backside. We were a chance. We showed it.
Their replacements are a lotttttt better than ours. You put Teddy alone in our team and we probably win that game.

So, next year, no Ellis, Norman, Dufty. With the new signings is there a place for Bird assuming Suli goes in the centre? Sims I would move on if you could just doesn’t deliver at club level IMO. IF Bird starts on the bench do we need MBye? What we do need is a first class hooker. Lastly, Rav, big and strong but IMO to short to be a modern day winger. Ramsey is also in the same boat.

Well that’s all folks! 2021 is now officially done & dusted. To me the team looks way down on confidence they didn’t know how to close the game out. Once we took the lead we kind of fell apart.

Notes;

only 2 more games of Norman even though he wasn’t bad today.

Amone looks the goods, not overwhelmed by first grade at all. Should be our starting 5/8 for the next decade.

Sullivan went pretty well considering he’s never played dummy half before. He had a real crack. With Hunt & Amone in the halves next year makes you wonder why we bought Mbye if Sullivan is so adaptable.

I’m convinced Ravalawa is bi-polar, he’s capable of really good things then capable of brain explosions. He & Lomax are our main attacking option but Ravalawa has my heart in my mouth every time he touches the ball.

Once again we struggled to makes good meters in the middle, Burgess & Molo can’t get here soon enough. I think we also need one more decent prop Alvaro & Ford have been a busts this year. Burns was our only forward to run over 100m today (113)

Bird much better at Centre, I have no idea what that fullback experiment was about.

No doubt Dufty has some flair but I think we’ll be better with either Sloan or Mbye at the back next year.

All in all, some positives to take into next season, remains to be seen if Griffin is the man to take us forward though.

Exactly. The Roosters have a squad of 25 guys who would play first grade every week at any club, we have a squad of 10 or so who meet the same criteria.

So to say the Roosters are missing players too is a bit of a cop out when you look at the calibre of reserves they have big red.

In our run in side today probably 4 make other sides at most I reckon. Lomax, JDB, maybe Rava, McGuire.

Norman simply has to go. Yes, he got a ball away from a half break but apart from that he literally stops the attack. Not just stifle or slows down the attack, he stops it.

For the last 2 games it has to be Sullivan at 7 and Amone at 6. They both showed today that they are our future. Just need to find a hooker somewhere.
Preaching to the choir mate.

I reckon hook will drop Norman next week - what does that say ?
That he truely believed Norman has a necessary component of the team to get us to the semis.. this tells me the coach is inept in making decisions that can positively influence a result..

I’ll bet any money Norman gets dropped next week now that we are out of the running for the 8.
I will take that bet. Name your price.

as long as Hunt isn’t back Norman will be at 7 again. For the sole reason there is zero point throwing two rookie halves in together will damage their confidence.

Thoughts on Matt Feagai? Looks definitely first grade ready, isn’t getting a lot of ball admittedly but I do feel he lacks a bit of pace for the wing for mine.
He's good. We haven't seen a decent backline movement all year to see what these young guys are capable of. Fix that problem in the halves (Sullivan and Amone) and while it won't happen overnight, I think we'll have have a chance. Bring on 2022.

Ravalawa is a very rough diamond isn’t he? He looks likely to get suspended with every play these days. Even today I noticed a very heavy hit on a player similar to his previous shoulder charge suspensions. Then he goes all Daniel-San on Teddy with the flighting ninja kick!
WTF!

Yeah it’s not a knock I’m just wondering he looks more a centre.
Max was meant to be the centre with Mat outside him. Mat needs some time in the gym & sprint training during the offseason. But we really don’t have any speedsters other than Dufty, perhaps Ramsey but that’s about it.

How good was good was de Belin’s cover tackle on Teddy today?
