Nope, glad to be wrong.
They played tough.
Luc proved he should have been playing all year, I have said some things to the contrary this year, glad to be wrong.
Didn't see much of Feild, but super glad he got game time.
Something different, finally.

Rarely post here (thanks username/kids), but guts city from the boys. Emotions very high; me and the old boy almost in tears with the effort shown. Smashed by the refs, no Gaz, Hunt with an off night at Leichardt up against a team fighting for survival, and we come up with the biscuits.
By far the most satisfying win of the season. We're still a fair way off the pace, but nice to stick it up to Ennis and Bwaif. Brandy also looked like he'd swallowed poison after our game.
Love the passion here fellas, ride it with you every week, even though I don't post :p

OT, not a toldya so post at all but do you think maybe we may win a few over next few weeks?
I'm optimistic. Still a long way off the top teams but a wins a win and we did it with Hunt off for 10 mins and no Widdop or Vaughan.
Tigpies blew many chances in the 1st 20 minutes and we scored against the run of play so it would have been interesting if they hadn’t blown their chances.
Individual efforts again got us over the line so I still have no confidence against anyone and you need to remember
at times were a complete rabble
Considering the semis are around the corner we need huge improvements in almost all aspects.

As a matter of interest, who thought we were going to lose this match?

Just asking....
I thought we were going to get smashed. That 1st half was forgettable with the ball but in the last 20 minutes of the 2nd half you could see our confidence starting to come back. Mann was solid and I'm proud of his game after all week thinking he wouldn't be able to do the job wearing 6. Leilua had a great game and looked hard to contain. Hunt had his worst game since joining us so the only way is up for him. The scrambling defence on our try line is what's saved us tonight.

Considering we had no Vaughn, no Widdop, hunt had a shocker + 10 in the bin, tigers at Leichhardt - coming in red hot form full strength with the finals spot on the line, tonight was a fantastic result and definitely a step in the right direction.

Definitely need to improve if we are to match it with the top teams but this could easily be the win that kick-starts is again

Mate seriously, if you can't see we are getting penalised out of the game in the first half, then you are willing us to lose. You are talking about individual efforts. The first try was a great effort considering we were one again on an unfounded lopsided penalty count. Same thing happened at the start of last week. For some reason we are getting called out instantly compared to the opposition. It's blatant. I'm not sure what we can do to counter that other than Mary blowing up deluxe at the presser.

The issue re penalties is a completely separate issue to how we would have responded if the Tigpies didn’t blow the obvious chances they had early on.
If we had of been down by 2 tries which we could have quite easily could we have come back from that?
Marvellous how many people after posting despairingly with all sorts of criticism are now happy to fall for the 3 card Monte after a struggling win against a team that played poorly considering what they had at stake
Some would think that our win tonight was the 2nd coming.

Individual efforts like 5 forwards running over 100metres?
Individual efforts like preventing all but 1 of their forwards running 100m?
Individual efforts like the luc bust and offload to Mann who drew defenders and put JP over?
Individual efforts like holding them scoreless through another 6-0 penalty count to start the game?
The Tigpies played tonight like they have all year, great Defense, lots of effort but lacking execution. Damn right we need to improve, but the attitude and commitment was there.

Marvellous how those who gave us zero chance from their “lofty position” and counselled everyone to expect a loss and hide sharp objects are now happy to claim that even though they were totally wrong, really they are actually still right.
Some might think that may not add up.
Smile dude, have a light hearted dig at yourself, most of the optimists do when we get done.

Luciano was huge for is, should start in every game from now on, he is a real weapon.
I have been very critical in the past but he is a first grade footballer, without doubt.
Effort on and off the ball was great,
Amazing difference from his performances at the start of the year. Effort in defence, running with real intent to blast past opponents. Love it. Weapon.

I keep saying the NRL is equal to the WWE ...... Greenberg and the NRL play to a maximum revenue script of outcomes to reap in the rewards of possibilities.

This great game has become a business run with puppet strings.

I'm kinda over it, the first 20 mins was 6-0 penalties against us, same last week (wasn't it like 9-0 in the first half) but the tigers are too shit to capitlase, where as the Eels were handed a no loose situation after 20 mins

Will start following women's beach volley ball next season especially if L Plate and Greenberg are still involved in the NRL

Surprised that is how you have perceived the well meaning posts , as I am sure that most have not fallen for any 3 card Monte , but are merely relieved at being in the winners circle once again after such horrendous showings of late .

No one is saying that the trophy is ours , but we are damn glad that the Dragons are indeed in their first semi final since our illustrious leader Mary McGregor took the reins .
It quite pleasing be able to smile for a few more weeks and who knows , should the cards fall in the Dragons favour a bit longer perhaps.

By no means a perfect performance, but it exuded determination and grit.

I wonder if anyone noticed the pre match warm up session. It had an air of purpose behind it, and the players were definitely pumped up compared to the past six-weeks.

They looked like a team which had been frustrated by its recent efforts but cared about the slump which threatened to wreck its season.

These sentiments were mirrored by the way they all ‘put in’,

Next week is an entirely different week and opposition, however it wouldn’t surprise if a resurgence happens before the semis.

Let’s wait and find out.

My take on the game.

Tigers were not bad. Tonight we defended exceptionally well. The tigers dropped the ball charging for the line because they were smashed with determination.

Don’t underestimate the defence tonight. 6-0 lopsidied penalty count was disgraceful one sided referring. No action on Russel Packer (he will be cited imo) again poor officiating. I wasn’t at the game but friends who were reckon Ben Hunt must have given lip early because that sin bin was on the back of a very marginal offside, if at all.

I hope that the club blows up big time and sticks it in like Stuart did a few weeks back.
