It has come about because of a board demand that if Potter is to keep his job Benchy must start up until his 200th game.

If this is true the board should be sacked and an administrator put in place. What on earth is the board doing blackmailing a coach in his team selection, or not, of a failing, departing former star. This is farcical. If true I'd resign if I was potter- what coach could accept that?

Yep, Benchi has played THREE games at centre for the Tiges in his career. All in 2004. Rounds 2, 3, & 4, where he did his shoulder up against the Cows.

Would prefer benji at centre over halfback, especially if it involves giving brooks a chance to lead the team around. Stop trying to think, start running the ball. I have absolutely no doubts his form is down to his attitude and his headspace, it's not like he is over the hill physically at 28 years old!

If its the factions again they should all be damned. let me guess, the Balmain group didn't get their wish of punting Potter so they're making life difficult for him by backing Marshalls inclusion in the team solely to chalk up 200 games? Talk about fiddling whilst Rome burns. Looks like they couldn't agree on the sun coming up tomorrow just on the principle that the other side is always wrong.

All I can say, is the more the JV board carry on this way, the more ammo they give the NRL to step in and appoint a majority independent members.
