Round 24 v Dragons

? Where did u hear this from? My understanding was that they are free to play for rest of the season

Can you imagine the howls of complaints in that was the case? Next week we're back to Marshall&Anasta in the halves. Today was just a glimpse into the future and my god does it look rosier than the present. In that respect Brooks' debut was very much like Marshall's in 2003 which came in the midst of a woeful season and offered hope for seasons ahead.

Much respect to Jack DeBelin as well.

The young prop Brown was going to over react and another young guy just pulled him back and calmed him down.

Good player and pure class

The under 20's got beat without Brooks today and are in danger of missing the top 4 leading into the finals. I'm fine with Brooks not playing another nrl game this season. Our season is over anyway and our under 20's could win another premiership. Let him play out the season with his mates in Under 20's, it would take more than Brooks for us to get a result against Souths next week anyway.
I was nervous and doubting whether Brooks should get a run in nrl this year but man I'm glad he did. He has definitely given us something to look forward to during the off season. Can 2013 just be over already ???

Exemptions are only for one game. Brown, brooks & luani most likely can't play next week & if Cowboys win this week, then those 3 kids won't play again this year

He is a good player isn't he? The way he snatched that Brooks grubber up to prevent Tedesco from scoring was amazing. Cat like reflexes.

There was some good sportsmanship in that match, like the way Simona congratulated Nightingale after Nightingale tackles him into touch.

Lote looked good last two weeks. Tedesco showing his promise too.

This batch of kids is outstanding. Never seen a crop this good. Maybe Raiders in late 80s....
Boom times ahead.

Benji played awesome today.

It was so refreshing to see him running out of dummy half and taking the line on and even bringing out his great step. He was taking the line on one off the ruck like a forward!

Great game Benji.

Benji's excellent performance today just further emphasises how idiotic Sheens was trying to turn him into a controlling halfback all these years.

Tell him to run the ball, do little to no general play kicking and have no hand in organising the team and he will thrive. So sad watching him try and be a controlling halfback. Never, ever his game and today just proved it.

16 runs for 133 metres from Benji. What a difference a half made to Benjis game.
Giving him room was the key.
Where is Tiger05 now? The one who said he wasn't that player anymore and was a good halfback.

Personally, I think we need to keep Anasta now, he was a guide and a leader to Brooks and the team. The late middle/late next year we introduce Moses. We also have Mulcahy and Rudolph as depth. Luani was great yesterday too. This should ensure that Iosefa is sent packing to Siberia.

The greatest thing though is listening to butt hurt Dragons fans making every excuse under the sun. But not admitting they allowed an 18 year old boy to dominate their pillow like defence and powder puff attack. Bubbles is happy.

I am happy he had a good game yesterday. I am wary it came against a team with the same kind of form line as us and their best players out injured.

Still it is nice to see

Anasta will see out his contract.

Blake Austin would be my first choice for pivot though

I still think that he isn't that player anymore. One game doesn't change anything. It was great to see Benji running it again though. I've been hoping he would have another good game and show us what he can do and he did.

Gronk, it is nice to have options for a change.

It was nice to see our attack not dominated by Benji, we had genuine options left and right.

Brooks and Austin / Brooks and Anasta or even Brooks and Sironen is a possibility, however his wide running try stamped his papers as a back rower for sure.

It will be Sirro's first full off season as well hopefully so he will be at least 6kg heavier with muscle mass if we do it right.

I am just happy the dark clouds are clearing

Siro will be in the back row next year for sure. I'm thinking a bench utility until he fully develops.

I actually don't mind the prospect of Anasta and Brooks in the halves. Anasta's deep kicking game will be handy and with a composed half like Brooks we may actually see some good form from Anasta.
