I think he can qualify for the State Cup finals with two more appearances. Not 100% sure on that.

I am a massive Ava fan and was calling for his inclusion last year but now it is about rotating experience and getting as many guys as possible eligible for the lower grade finals series

I'm thinking team will be:

1. Ted
2. Nufo
3. Simona
4. Marshall
5. Tiquiri
6. Anasta
7. Brooks
8. Gal
9. Luani
10. Blair
11. BMM
12. Fulton
13. Sue

14. Iosefa
15. Ava
16. Brown
17. Sironen

Luani is not an 80 min hooker, Brown and Brooks obviously will get a run and no way Siro is being dropped.

Bell is not in teams plans next year so I don't see him getting a run.

We are all over seeing Marshall on the field but i feel for Brooks. He's been talked up all year and now has to go out and outplay Marshall (easily done on the field but not so easy mentally) in front of a big crowd (im guessing) and at the SCG.

Surely this late in the Season we should have just stuck with whoever. Brooks could have started fresh without Benji's saga, had another preseason and with our strongest team taking the field.

As shit as Benji is playing he's joey johns compared to that f**king turd anasta. I don't get the pont of playing brooks whilst ever non trying pricks like analsta and Benji are around with everyone hoping this tiny 19yo is going to win games on his own. For f**ks sake keep him away from this f**kig rabble

Yeah I've gotta say after Marshall asked to be released I was kind of happy thinking that Brooks and Marshall were never going to stand on the same field in the same jersey where Marshall could influence Brooks and more than likely dent his confidence as he did every other young halfback that ever got the chance to play alongside him.

I wonder, if they are going to throw Brooks in from the start, why not throw Siro in as well and play both from the start?

But I can certainly see why gronk and brother Jim have nominated Anasta at 6 so it might be the 2nd half before we see the future, playing in the present, so to speak.

Would the West Tigers consider getting Arthur Summons to present Luke Brooks his jersey and Steve Roach giving Nathan Brown his. I think this would be a great gesture to a couple of young players who possess enormous talent and are part of the future.

Sounds like a great idea, maybe Its worth tweeting Grant Mayer about ? Those sort of special gestures would mean a hell of a lot to young players and could even help sway a guys decision about remaining a tiger for life.

I'm thinking that Anasta will be our #6 next year. I don't think he is planning on going anywhere and Potter will probably let him play. I would prefer to see Siro but after reading Potter's comments on WT website his plans for Siro next year will be bench utility untill he develops into a solid back rower.

While Ansta also gives me the shits, his kicking game is good and he will only be filling the role until Moses is ready.

BrotherJim, love him or hate him, I think you might be right and a few things that I believe Anasta will do or will be is:

a team player,
a teacher for Brooks,
a good steadying influence outside Brooks,

He can tackle. That's one thing that's a plus about Anasta.
Good defence in the halves is something we've never had.
